Preston and Marie haven't contacted each other since their breakup years ago. But one day, Preston decides he feels nostalgic and writes a letter to her, a thousand miles away. He goes on a whim and mails it, but the last thing he expects is a response from her.
"Only know you've been high when you're feeling low,
Only hate the road when you're missing home,
Only know you love her when you let her go."
– Passenger
This story contains:
– subpar writing (further explained in upcoming author's note)
– swearing
– mature themesThis was written a while ago and like Lego House, I have yet to edit it. My writing has definitely improved since then, but I haven't had the time or motivation to fix this story up.
It's still up because it was another one of my first completed pieces and I want to be able to look back in the future and revel in how much I've improved.
So basically, don't have high expectations because you will be very disappointed.
The chapters are not very long, and that is done intentionally. The main characters, Preston and Marie, have a lot of unspoken words between them.
Also, this was originally written as a fanfiction. I have changed some names to make it a teen fiction story, but if you'd like, you can still read it as a fanfiction if you know what it was originally for. If that is the case, disregard the name changes and the following cast.
