I feel like a question that is going to be asked is whether or not I will write a sequel. The answer is no, at least, not another story about Preston and Marie. If I were to write a sequel about them, the only thing I could really write would be Preston and Marie's relationship, where they would get back together again. Being the creator of these characters, I don't ship them. I'm sorry.

This was meant to show how love is blinding and time is the best medicine. If Preston had not spent all of his time and energy reminiscing about Marie, he probably would've been over the break-up with a few months or so.

Marie was almost entirely over the whole thing. She would have needed more time to heal compared to Preston, no matter what. She did a better job of keeping herself occupied and thoughts off of Preston, by drowning herself in schoolwork, but she still fell quite a bit when hearing from Preston again.

Marie was cold at first towards Preston because she knew the relationship was toxic, and in the long run, it was best that they broke up. Her heart melted and she opened up to Preston again, which caused her to miss all the good times they had together.

I don't think their relationship would have lasted long since Preston broke it off because he didn't want to fight for the longevity of their connection. He let go and gave up too easily and wasn't ready or willing to face the challenges of a long-distance relationship, although, I would say that they both had the potential and capability.

Preston just wanted to speak to Marie again because he was lonely and wanted comfort. He knew Marie would give it to him. However, Preston still had real feelings for her, but he expressed it in a way that made Marie think that she was being used and was only a friend for when he had no one else at his side to Preston, which is indirectly true.

I love Preston and Marie, but their relationship definitely wouldn't last at all and if you want a sequel, it would have to be about something other than their relationship. However, I will be writing a sequel to Letters From a Lover, featuring a new love interest. It is titled Unspoken, and has not been posted yet on my profile yet, but it will be coming soon.

This is the end of "Letters From a Lover." Thank you all for reading through the entire thing!

I would like to say that although this was updated daily, this piece of writing was sitting unpublished and incomplete in my works for at least two months. I probably could've written this better and faster if I had the time.

Anyway, thank you all so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed!!
