Cam's POV (of chapter 3)
Maxster: Hey bro!
Me: Aye!
Maxter: I need a favor
Me: Sure man
Maxter: I need you to drive me to the high school. Claire has the car and I need it to take this girl out.
Me: I'll be over in 10
Maxter: Thanks man
I turned off the TV and grabbed my keys. I got in my mustang and began my short journey to Max's.
I turned on the radio and let my thoughts drift. 'I might as well pick Claire up after school if Max is taking the car. Would that be weird? I'll just tell her that Max asked me too,' I debated with myself, 'It'll be the perfect time to that her for putting up with me when I was drunk last night. I know she's the one that fixed me up on the couch.' It was decided.
I pulled into Max's driveway and honked my horn. He came out just after. I unlocked his door and he got in.
"Are you gonna put it back before school ends?" I asked to see if I would even need to pick her up. "No, why?" he shrugged. "Isn't your sister gonna need it to get home?" I questioned. "She can walk, it'll be fine. She doesn't have P.e. anymore she could use the exercise," he stated.
"See ya," I waved him off as he got out.
«later»
I heard the bell ring and students began making their way off campus. I looked around for Claire so I could give her a lift. I spotted her making her way towards the parking lot.
"Claire!" I called after her. I watched her look around, so I waved her over. "Get in," I told her as I motioned for her to get in. "Max had had to take the car so he asked me to pick you up," I smiled. Yeah, I fibbed a bit. He didn't ask me to get her, but I didn't wanna seem weird.
We made small talk on the way back, and I decided she was alright, and I that I may have a small crush on her. I mean, she's pretty cute, and funny.
