Claire's POV

The next morning I woke up to my 5:30 alarm. Early, I know, but I had to fit in a run before getting ready for school. I slipped on my black running shorts, a sports bra, and tank top that read 'Train Insane or Remain the Same'. I threw my hair up in a high ponytail and put on a headband to hold back my fly always. I washed my face and grabbed my socks and shoes making my way downstairs.

When I got down I sat in the living room floor to put on my shoes since Cam was still asleep on the couch. I stretched out before making my way to the kitchen. I grabbed an apple out of the fridge and a bottle of water.

After I had eaten my apple I took a few drinks of my water before getting my iPod off the counter. I put my ear buds in and opened my front door. With my feet hitting the pavement to the beat of the music my mind was free to wonder back to last night.

They say that drunk people and kids are the most honest people, but I've heard some drunks say some pretty far out things. After about five minutes of debating with myself, I decided to just forget about it and not get my hopes up.

After running for 10 more minutes Single Ladies came on, and that was my cue to turn around and run back home. I kept up a steady pace until I reached my front door. When I got in I ran up the stairs and hopped in the shower.

When I was done I wrapped my hair and body in a towel and walked over to my closet. I picked out some neon pink shorts and a denim button up shirt. I got dressed and made my way back to the bathroom to put mousse in my hair and dried it with the diffuser. I applied foundation, mascara, and minimal eyeliner.

I added a cute teal necklace to my outfit and put in my go-to big diamond studs. I slipped on my brown sandals and put my music on shuffle. Storyline by Hunter Hayes came on so I turned it up and grabbed my baby pink nail polish. I painted my fingernails and toenails really fast and looked up at the clock. It was 7:30. I turned my music off, grabbed my phone and backpack, and ran back downstairs. I grabbed a banana and was out the door.

I got in the car, started it up, and made my way to school. My friend Jenny and I pulled our cars into the the two spots next to each other and walked in together.

"Happy Monday!" she joked poking my cheek. "Oh, definitely," I chuckled. "What'd you do this weekend?" she asked as we made our way on campus. "Liz and I checked out the guys at In and Out and then she helped drag Cam and Max's drunk butts in last night since I was the DD for them," I responded. "You and Cam making any progress?" she inquired again. "Nope," I sighed, deciding to leave out the details of my drunk Cam encounter.

After a boring day of classes I made my way to the front of the school. As soon as I reached the parking lot I heard someone call my name. I looked up to see Cameron. "Get in," he motioned to me, "Max had to take the car, so he asked me to pick you up." I walked over to the passenger side of his black mustang and he leaned over and opened the door.

"Thanks," I said quietly as I got in. He started up the car and exited the parking lot. "I just wanted to thank you for taking care of me last night. From what I've been told, I was pretty drunk," he smiled, giving me butterflies.

"No problem, you're not as heavy as you look," I smiled. "We'll I guess I'll have to hit the weights and work on that," he joked.

He pulled into my driveway and I slung my backpack over my shoulder before getting out. "Thanks again," I said as I got out. "No problem, see you around," he waved before pulling out of my driveway.

Once I had made it into my house I tossed my backpack on the couch and did my happy dance. I was so happy I'd been able to talk to Cam without sounding like an idiot, or at least I hoped I didn't.
