Winter nights brought chilly winds to England. Where it was known for its snowy season. Everyone one was shut inside their houses, sitting by fires and absorbing in the warmth. Homes were seen as safe havens for humans from the frosty darkness. A blackness that has spread throughout all of London. The abyss eating away at the streets. Blood dripping down cracks of buildings. Every drop left the scent of death in the air. The red liquid flowed, cascading pass their lips.
The rushed noises of footsteps were heard loud and clear through the east woods of the Black family estate. Quick and horrifying. Speed of light was shockingly estimated wrong by how fast these two individuals were running. The supernatural abilities they both had, has been there in their genes since they were born. And the timing of their births was a curse.
Black hair flew in the night sky, being dominate in the thick snow ground. Sticks broke as the woman sprinted across the terrain. She was being chased, and she didn't plan on stopping.
"Irene! Please stop!" The masculine voice shouted out from behind her.
Irene pulled back the tears that tried to fall from her brown eyes, continuing to push even further into the forest. She desperately ran with all her might. The news she'd heard earlier this evening surfaced to her mind. Irene never wished for it to happen, only that it was a phase and it would not bother her. But it did bother her. And finally her emotions have gotten the best of her.
She wasn't thinking right.
Multiple scenarios of murder went through her brain, it only led to destroying her brother's happiness.
Which she could never do.
Irene fell, tripped over a fallen tree and planted on the freezing cold land. The man who has been chasing her slid to a stop, almost losing his own balance when he saw her fall. "Irene, are you alright?" He shouted, rushing over to Irene with a worried expression written all over his face.
Irene ignored him and took to being silent.
She pushed herself up from the ground, "Leave me alone Everest." Irene seethed as she grabbed her leg that had a sudden thud of pain.
Everest frowned as he neared his sister who lifted herself up, brushing the snow from her black themed clothes. His disappointment on how his older sister shrug her hurt leg, made him feel guilty that she was more focused on getting away from him, far away.
He was being cautious with every movement he made, taking a step closer to Irene made the irritated woman take a step back. This went on with the two maneuvering around each other. Every foot placement was made with high alert, their eyes watching one another like a hawk.
"Brother you leave me at once." Irene snapped, her hands curling into fists of fury. Everest couldn't leave Irene Black alone. God knows what she might do to herself.... or worse, to others around her. He knew that his sister will regret later on, she has been doing that since the day their father lifted a hand on Angelo; the brother that isn't our father's child. Their half-brother Angelo Black sought to massacre a group of werewolves when he was only young, because he saw that if he is a monster. So is everyone around him.
Everest had other opinions on what difference he and his older brother saw the world like. The younger brother has always been the one to wonder and stare at the fascinating humans. He did not want to hurt them. He wanted to friend humans, not hide in the shadows and only come out to feed. Only a few years ago when Everest was sixteen he finally got his fangs, that he protested that he'll starve himself if his family did not stop drinking human blood. Those few months of living off nothing but human food, made Everest's figure drain.
