This One Day Changed Everything

Chapter 4

"What about my car?" I asked Z. I mean, i want to ride this car, yes.But I dont want my baby to be left here at the school. Not that my parents woud mind it, because their oh so busy with their work.

"Well just get it back tomorrow if thats okay with you...?" he said to me.

"Im not sure."

"Aww come on Vinnie? For me? Just let me take you to your house,please?" he said pleading with his puppy dog eyes. Man, this guy's got skills in convincing people!

"Fine! Fine!" I said looking away from him, blushing.

"Aww, little Vinnie is blushing!!!" he said cooing like a baby.

"No!I-Just-We-OHH! Lets just get it the car!!!"

"If you say so..." he said smirking. He held the passenger door open for me. I raised my eyebrow at him and got in. He walked around the car, taking his sit as well. We were sitting there for like 5 minutes now,but no ones talking. He didnt even started his car yet, so we were still in the school's parking lot.  We were just both silent. It wasnt an awkward silence, but rather a comfortable one. I decided to break the silence.

"Z, why arent we moving...?" i asked.

"Well, I didnt know where to go."

"I thought we were going to-uhhmm.."I was now confused. I though he was going to take me home?

"Yeah, I was going to take you home but, I dont know your address. I was just waiting for you to hand it to me." he said smirking.

"Ohh..." I told him my address, and we headed home. Whe he pulled into our my driveway, I noticed my parents' car was there. So I think theyre back already. Huh, theyre early.! When I shook my head to thank Z, I saw him looking at my house, shocked.

"Z, are you alright? Is there something wrong with my house? I mean, okay technically, its my parents' caue I live here.But you get the point."

He gulped an air and said "Venice!!You live here?! This is like a mansion! No a palace!!! You told me to drive you to your house. I was expecting a house! Not a palace!" he said. Loking all amazed.

Did I mention to you tha my family was rich? We were billionaires. We owned the biggest company in US. We own some shops, restaurants, spas, and smll bussinesses. I never mention this to anyone cause I dont want the attention. I live in a 4-story house, with indoor and outdoor pool, game rooms, and all. It was wide. 

I just laughed at Z and said "Wanna come in?"

"Hell yeah!!!"he said. While almost jumping frm his seat. He regained his poise and said" I mean, sure.Cool." 

"Dude! Your so funny!" I said while getting our of his car. He followed me to my house. When we entered, he was bewildered and kept on saying compliments about my house. We decided to watch a movie, so we headed to the theatre and game room.

"Woah there Vinnie bear! This place is wicked! I mean, all these stuff? The game consoles?I mean, do you actually play them?"

"Yeah Z, I actually play them."i said copying his voice.

"Vinnie! Your surprising me! And to think, we just met hours ago!"

He went to my side and hugged me. My knees started to get jelly by his touch. Just when we were about to pull away, I heard a man cleared his throat.Im guessing, my dad.

Oh crap.

"Interesting sight we have here pumpkin." my dad said smirking, talking to my mom. I can see the joy in their eyes.WAIT!!!Why arent they angry?

Zeke let go of me and said to my parents "Jacob Ezekiel Smith, sir, maam." he shook my mom's and dad's hands.

"And who are you may I ask?" my mom asked him.

"Your daughter's knight in shining armor maam!"he said with a salute.God! He's weird. I just glared at him wanting to take his word back.

"What knight in shining armor are you saying!" i hissed.

"Okay, ill take it back."

He then turned my parents and said "Im her boyfriend sir and maam."

Aww, he said he's my-WAIT!!!!What boyfriend?!

"What boyfriend?! Your not my boyfriend dufus!" i yelled at him and stepped on his feet. He groaned and said again to me parents, while holding his feet in pain, "Uhhhmmm, Im just her friend.Sorry for messing with her." 

"Are you sure young man?"both my parents said.

"Yep!Im sure!That Im her knight in shining-Ow!" I pinched his side so he said "yeah, im his FRIEND" emphasizing the word 'friend'.

My parents just smiled at me and Z. Their eyes tells me something theyre gonna say something embarrassing.And just like I thought, my mom told Z "Its okay Ezekiel-mind if i call you that?"Z just nod at her so she continued "As I was saying, its okay if your her boyfriend." She grinned at me.

My eyes almost popped out of their socket and my jaw was now hanging open with that. Z just grinned in response. Theyre now talking about him bing my boyfriend is okay, that i needed company. Hell, my dad even allowed him to sleep here whenever theyre gone to keep me companied.! And here I thought he was going to get mad! They ended up their conversation with Z. Dad said to me "Princess, I like this young man! Good choice!!!But, we have to go now sweetheart.We just went here to say goodbye."

"Dad and I are going to Paris for 2 weeks or our bussiness okay? And I exepect you young man, to take care of her while were going okay?"she said, now turning to Z.

"Yes maam!"he replied with a nod. When they left, i was afraid to turn and look to Z, I can tell that he enjoyed th e 'talk' with my parents. He held me by my shoulders to face me.

"So, Im your boyfriend huh?" he said with a teasing tone. I was probably looking now like a tomato, all flushed. With him teasing me like this is not helping to get the butterflies away from my stomach. Heck, it even add more! Ugh!
