...Shanaya, with the promise to Abhimanu on her mind; kept a genuine smile on her face during the next few days. She made sure to enjoy herself with her friends and family during all the functions that took place; especially for him. She even tried to keep the smile up when Vijay was around but still found it uncomfortable when he held her in anyway; instead she would keep her vision on Abhimanu who calmed her nerves with just one look.

There were only a few days left before the wedding day; the Mehendi and Haldi functions were over. It was now the Sangeet and Cocktail function in one night; the Modhis' had hired a group of entertainers who were to perform dance segments and music performances during the night as well as some celebrity faces who the guests were ecstatic to meet.

It was a lavish party and was held in the garden as the evening sun began to set and many other guests arrived and enjoyed themselves; mingling with each other and carried down a few too many drinks.

Shanaya was dressed in an elegant emerald sari; her jewellery glittering as the lights shone on her and her hair and makeup done to perfection; she had just made her way down to the garden when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her.

"Shanaya...!"

She turned to see her favourite cousin waving over at her; "Asha!" she smiled as the girl ran over to her and hugged her close; "I'm so happy you made it..."

"I had to...after all it's my big sisters wedding..." she beamed and moved back to look at her; "...you look gorgeous sweety..."

"Thank you..." Shanaya smiled back at her happily; "...where's Karan Chachu and Nandani Chachi?"

"They couldn't make it...but they didn't let me miss it..." she told her.

Shanaya made a sad face; "I'm going to miss them..."

"Stop sulking and enjoy your moment..." Asha nudged her and pointed her head over to Vijay; "...he's so cute Shanaya...you're so lucky..."

"Asha...ummm..." she didn't know how to explain the situation and Asha didn't seem interested in what she had to say instead she dragged her over to Vijay with a wide smile; he was standing around with Priyanka, Vicky and a few friends of his.

"Hi...I'm Asha...Shanaya's cousin..." Asha introduced herself.

Vijay smiled at her; Shanaya and Priyanka noticed him giving her a look over; "Hey...it's nice to meet you..." he shook her hand and kept hold of it for a few seconds before releasing it.

"Excuse us a minute..." Priyanka said and pulled Shanaya away with her.

Vijay watched the girls go before he turned back to Asha giving her all of his attention.

"What is it Pri...?" she asked when they were out of earshot.

"I need you to listen to me very carefully..." she whispered; "...tonight we are carrying out our plan...you need to stay as far away as possible from him...do you get it..."

Shanaya suddenly felt very nervous; "I hope you guys don't get caught...please be careful..."

"Shanaya relax...you are the last person who needs to panic right now...you're going to be away from the action...we'll be fine...don't worry..." she reassured her.

"Okay..." she nodded in reply; "...all the best..."

Priyanka gave her a quick hug and whispered in her ear; "...and if you're up for some fun your man will be waiting for you in the same place you guys had a little adventure the other night...and every night since then..."
