Noelle Dimitri
"Noelle! Get your ass down here right this minute before I do something even the Almighty would be ashamed of!" My aunt called from the living room.
I huffed out a sigh of frustration before getting out of my blankets and putting on my slippers. "Yeah, I'm coming. Just hold up a second. I gotta find my pants." I lied.
I just didn't feel like rushing to the living room just to find out that she only called me to hand her the remote, and usually the remote would be on the coffee table which was placed in the middle of the living room.
I lived with my aunt, because she's the only family around this place at the moment. I didn't really know anybody here, so she's the only thing I have left. And her annoying husband.
Finally, after 10 minutes, I got to the living room. Aunt Jacie (pronounced as Jac-key) was fuming, but I didn't know for what reason. "Are you okay?" I asked with uncertainty laced in my voice.
"Why wouldn't I be fine?" She spat, glaring at me fiercely. I wasn't sure whether to run away or stay put and deal with Satan's twin.
I shook my head, "You look perfectly fine, Aunt Jacie. You even look a year younger." I winked then smiled sarcastically. She laughed with no emotion and just glanced at me before placing her focus on the TV.
"I'm sure I look 15 years younger." She said after a few moments of silence, causing me to roll my eyes heavily. "Damn girl, rolling your eyeballs at me ain't gonna get you to Uncle Taye's dinner party with his co-workers."
Oh shoot. I forgot. Maybe that's why she was pissed. "Oh I didn't forget. I was checking if you remembered." I nervously smiled. I quickly turned around and headed back to my room before Aunt Jacie could throw me up there herself.
As soon as I got there I took off everything, grabbed my towel and ran for the bathroom. And don't worry, I have my own bathroom. I was just lucky.
After some time in the shower, I finally finished and now I couldn't decide on what to wear. Whether I should wear my blood red dress that reached below my knee and was tight fitting, or my black, backless dress that reached my ankles and had a slit on my right side that stopped just mid-thigh.
Before I could decide, I looked for heels that could go with both dresses so I wouldn't have to endlessly look for another pair that didn't fit well. So I picked my nude 'pageant' platform heels that were fairly over 5 inches high.
I made sure I wore lace underwear, because I wouldn't want it showing through my dress. Now, the dress. I decided to go with the blood red one. It was less skimpy, I think. The only thing that was too revealing was the tightness, besides that it was perfect. My boobs wouldn't be seen and it was like a bottleneck.
After dressing up, it was time for hair and makeup. I had really kinky 4C hair. The roots were black but going up to the ends it was a brown color. It was naturally like that. Something someone ordinary wouldn't understand. I decided to look natural today, nothing too heavy. Just some lip gloss, mascara and perfect brows would do just fine.
"DAMN Noelle! You've been getting ready for 2 hours now." Aunt Jacie yelled from behind my bedroom door. I didn't realise I took such little time. Wow. I was good. I just messed up my hair a little so I didn't look too elegant. It made me sick. "I'm done, OKAY?" I rolled my eyes as I took my nude coloured purse and my phone, along with some essentials I thought might come in handle once I got there.
