Chapter 20

A month later*

Colton's POV: "This is weird, why do I have to go to a meeting?" Regina asked confused as she hopped into the car. I started up the car and drove a little down the road before I answered. "Okay so I lied  we haven't got a meeting, I just really need your help on something." I replied. She rolled her eyes and answered with, "what might that be?" We pulled up to Anthony's and Meg came out. "Okay why the fuck is going on?" She asked as we hopped into the car. "I need your help, you two know Katie really well I just want to make this perfect." I replied. Meg and Regina gave me a confused look until I pulled up outside a jewelers. "Necklace?" Meg asked as we hopped out. "Nope." I replied. "Bracelet, earrings?" Regina asked as we walked in. "Hello how may I help you?" A jeweler asked. "I'm looking for an engagement ring." 

Katie's POV: "Give it back." I yelled as I tackled Wes for my chocolate bar. "You weren't sharing." He protested. "It's my bar." I said snatching it back. "Yeah and I paid for it." Wes said snatching it back and eating some. I gave him a evil look and grabbed the rest of my bar. "You eat to much chocolate." Wes said giggling. "It's a craving." I replied. We stopped goofing off when Drew and Lissa walked in. "Drew you're out of hospital." I cheered. "Yeah, Thomas and Eric are too we are all over the infection now." He replied. I gave him and Lissa a hug before finishing off my chocolate bar. "What Colton up to?" Lissa asked as she sat beside me on the couch. "I have no idea." I replied.

Colton's POV: I rolled my eyes as Meg and Regina argued. "I'm her cousin, her family so she wants the pink diamond ring." Meg said. "I'm her best friend, she will prefer the baby blue diamond ring." Regina replied. I look at the jeweler who was looking at the crazy two. "Do you have any others?" I asked. "Yes just a few, shall I bring them out?" He asked. "Yes please." I replied. He came back with a different set of rings and start away I locked eyes on the perfect ring. "That's the one." I replied smiling.  He passed me the ring and I just admired it in ore. "What size do you need?" The jeweler asked. "Huh? Oh yeah, here ya go." I said passing him a ring of Katie's I managed to take. "Alright then, that's the perfect size. Let's just you a box and the payment." I followed him to the cashier. He gave me a box and the grand total. (RING IN COMMENTS) 

*Later that day*

Katie's POV: "Okay, I'm going to go home." I said as I hopped up off of Wes's couch. I gave him, Lissa and Drew a hug then I ran to Keaton's room and tackled him. "What the hell?" He said. "I'm leaving you antisocial little boy.' I said. I gave him a hug and then went home. 

I walked inside and skipped to my room. "Babe, what are we doing tonight?" I asked as I walked in our room. "We, are going out." He said smiling. "Cool. When?" I asked. "Well we can get dinner first so as soon as possible." He replied. "Fancy or casual?" I asked. "Fancy." He replied. I cheered and grabbed the perfect dress, heels and bag.  I did my make up and left my hair natural. "Ready babe?" Colton asked. "Well, don't you look handsome." I said smiling looking at his outfit. He giggled and took my hand. "See ya." I said to Regina and Joey before we left. 

Colton's POV: I always checked my pockets to check if the box was still there, I get more nervous as the minutes ticked by. We pulled up at the fanciest restaurant in LA. According to google. I took her hand as we walked inside. "Reservation for Rudloff." I said. "Right this way." We were lead to a table in a quiet area. "This restaurant looks expensive." Katie said worriedly. I took her hand, "you're worth every dollar." I replied. She smiled and opened her menu.  

We sat, ate our food and talked about a day as I had one hand on my pocket for comfort, the whole time. I paid and we went to the beach. She took off her heels and held them in one hand her other wrapped in mine. We walked down the beach her feet hitting the water. This is the most nerve wrecking moment of my life. "Are you babe?" She asked. Here goes nothing. 

Katie's POV: He smiled slightly and grabbed both my hands. "Katie the minute I first laid my eyes on you I knew I had to  make you mine. Your first words to me were, "Sure let's do some shots." And I couldn't of picked anything better." I looked "I got warned, to stay away you, that love was just a game to you but I though fuck it I want this chick. Your confidence, your flirtation is just a bonus in your overall perfection. So I played your love game. I remember begging for your number and now I text you every day, lucky me. We had our ups and we have had our downs but here we are, stronger than ever. Our first kiss still replays in my head like a never ending record. And in that moment I kinda of knew, knew that you were my match.  And shortly after we got together. So." He got down on one knee. "Katie will you do me the honour, of, marrying me." 

"YES!"
