Peter stood there for a few seconds before going after Integrity. He grabbed her arm and turned her around to face him. "Who told you that?" He asked. Integrity shook her head. "It doesn't matter. The point is that I'm not helping you bring Sarah back. I can't. Do you even care about teaching me how to use the magic I apparently have? Or are you just teaching me so that I can bring her back to Neverland?" Integrity was angry, that was clear. Integrity hated being used.
Peter sighed and let go of her arm. "I'm sorry, Integrity. I should have told you about what I wanted you to do. I really need Sarah back in my life and you're the only one who can help me." Integrity crossed her arms over her chest. "I understand that, Peter. You love her, I know."
Integrity continued walking. Peter didn't follow her this time. Instead, he gathered the lost boys and told them what happened. "My plan to bring Sarah back is done. Integrity refuses to help. I fear we are at a loss now and Sarah will not be returning." One of the boys, Nathan, spoke up. "So, Sarah's not coming back? Ever?" Peter shook his head. "It doesn't seem like it. Integrity's powers still haven't presented themselves to her. Without her magic, Integrity can't bring Sarah back, though it doesn't matter now. Integrity's not going to help."
"There has to be another way," Felix said. "We need Sarah." Peter could tell that Felix missed Sarah, too. All the boys did, at least the ones who had been here when Sarah was. Peter sighed. "I don't know what we're going to do, boys. Without Integrity, I don't think we'll see Sarah again." Owen was among the boys. He felt bad about telling Integrity the truth.
After the boys separated, Owen went to Integrity. She was sitting in her tent, looking at her hands. "Integrity," Owen began. "I know you're mad at Peter, but I didn't mean to cause any problems in his plan." Integrity looked at him, her eyes filled with different emotions. "He was just using me, Owen. That's what you told me. He doesn't care about me. He just wants me to bring her back."
Integrity was hurting, that was obvious. Owen hadn't meant to cause any trouble or pain. He had just felt bad for Integrity. "Peter's really hurting because of me. I told you about his plan and that's why you're refusing to help him. I'm asking you to reconsider." Integrity's eyes furrowed in confusion. "Why should I?" Owen pleaded with his eyes. "Integrity, I know you're mad, but just listen to me, please. I'm your friend and you know that. As your friend, I'm asking you to reconsider. Peter hasn't been the same since Sarah left, I know. He needs her... they all do. Please, if you won't do it for him, do it for me."
Integrity's eyes softened. She knew Owen was right. Peter was always in Sarah's tree house. She could see that Peter was hurting inside. Integrity sighed and stood up. "I need to talk to Peter," she said, walking out of the tent.
Integrity once again found Peter in Sarah's tree house. He was sitting on the bed, tears slowly rolling down his face as he gazed at the picture of Sarah. Integrity spoke up, causing Peter to look at her. "I know that you miss her, Peter. Clearly, she means everything to you... and the others as well." Integrity took a deep breath. "I'll help you bring her back, Peter. Just teach me what to do."
