"Felix, where is Owen?" Peter asked, sitting at the table the two were eating at. Peter had decided that it was best for the two boys in charge to sit together during meal times. Felix had agreed. Owen was the newest member of the Lost Boys. He arrived months after Sarah left. At first, Peter had hoped that Sarah was the person who had just been dropped off in Neverland. His face had turned sour when he saw that it wasn't Sarah. When Owen first saw Peter, he was terrified. He had begged Peter to bring him back to his home. Peter shook his head. "Sorry, I can't do that. If you're on the island, there's a reason for that. You must have been feeling alone or unloved," Peter had said.

Now, Owen was completely fine. He had gotten adjusted to being on the island within a few days. That was quicker than Sarah's adjustment. Thinking about Sarah made Peter clench his teeth together. He knew that he needed to stop thinking about Sarah, but his heart wouldn't let him. His mind told him to stop thinking about her, but his heart told him to think of her all the time. It drove Peter crazy. Why did he feel this way? Why had Sarah affected him so much? Why in all of Neverland had he let Sarah leave? His head was spinning and his heart was throbbing. He wanted Sarah back. He needed  Sarah back. She was the only one that could make him feel whole again. Without her around, Peter felt broken on the inside and out. She was his entire world and he had allowed her to leave just like that.

Peter felt so stupid. He loved Sarah and he let her go so easily. He should've realized that Sarah wouldn't come back. She left him. Sarah said that she would come back and she hadn't returned. Peter tried so hard to not let his heart break, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt like he was going to hurt someone. Peter snapped out of it once he heard his name being repeated. "Pan?" Peter looked over. "What?" Felix pointed towards the fire that had been lit not that long ago. "Owen's over there, by the fire."

Peter nodded and finished his meal before walking over to the fire. He sat next to Owen and looked at him. Owen was staring into the fire. "What's on your mind, Owen?" Pan asked. Owen spoke, not turning to face Peter. "I almost forgot about Addison," he said. "Who's Addison?" Pan asked. Owen finally turned to Pan. "Addison is- I mean was -my girlfriend. I wonder if she's forgotten about me." Peter looked at his hands. "You had a girlfriend back home?" Owen nodded. "Pan, have you ever been in love with someone?" Owen swallowed, not sure if he should've asked.

Peter sighed and adjusted himself into a comfortable position. "Yes, actually. I have been in love before. Actually, I was in love a few months before you arrived. It's hard to explain." Peter looked into the fire. "She left Neverland a few months before you came here, but she said that she would return," Peter added. Owen looked down. "Is that why you were so disappointed when I came here? You were hoping that I was the girl you fell in love with?" Peter nodded. "Yes. That's why I was disappointed."

"Can you tell me about her?" Owen asked, worried about Peter's answer. Peter simply nodded and began the story. "2 years ago, I asked my shadow to bring the daughter of Regina Mills to the island. I had planned to use the girl to get the heart of the truest believer, which happened to be Regina's son and the girl's brother. Sarah was, as I had feared, quite beautiful. It was hard to resist her. Despite her mother being a villain, Sarah was nothing like her mom. She had some evil qualities, though she barely chose to be evil. In the beginning, Sarah was just a part of my plan, but in the end, everything was different. I was completely taken by her."

Owen nodded. "I had returned Sarah to her home to blackmail Regina. I told her that if she didn't give me her son's heart, I would kill Sarah." Owen's eyes widened. "But you loved Sarah!" Peter nodded. "Yes, I did. Regina sacrificed herself so that both of her kids could live. After that, I brought Sarah back to Neverland, but seeing the look on her face, I knew that she couldn't stay here. It killed me to see her in so much pain. I couldn't hurt her any more than I already had. I had fallen in love with her and despite what I had done to her, Sarah loved me back. I let her leave Neverland. Before she left, Sarah promised me that she would return. She promised that we would be reunited... and I believed her."

"Do you not believe her now?" Owen asked. "I don't know what to believe anymore, Owen. It's been 2 years since she left. If she hasn't returned by now, I don't think she ever will. I don't want to give up hope, but I'm starting to think that Sarah won't return. I keep telling myself that if there's even a small chance that Sarah will return, I shouldn't give up hope. At the same time, I keep telling myself that if she really hasn't come back yet... there's an even bigger chance that she won't ever return to me."
