KATHRINE'S POV
I packed my stuff, trying to decide what to put in the suitcase and what to leave at home. I'd talked with my mom, who had said it was okay to join the boys for the rest of their tour, as long as I did all my classwork.
To be honest, I was a bit nervous. I had never met the other guys officially, but I still knew plenty about them. And on top of that, I still had my date tomorrow, the day before the birthday celebration. Oh well, at least I had a present. Roy helped me pick it out, so it was at his house right now.
Oh, that must be what they needed to pick up, I thought. That's why Roy asked me to go to his house, not their hotel.
When I had finished packing all my stuff, I pulled my phone out to check the time. Alright, it's eight o'clock right now...I have like twenty minutes before I have to leave.
"Hey Kath," my mom shouted from downstairs. "We're leaving in twenty minutes, so start wrapping it up. And don't forget your school stuff!"
"Alright," I shouted back.
Twenty minutes later, I was out the door with all three suitcases by my side. I know, it sounds like a lot, but I'd prefer to have too many clothes than have to buy random clothes while we're on the road. Trust me, I'd done that before, and the clothing in some places is atrocious. I burned that lacy animal print shirt as soon as I got home.
In no time, I saw the familiar outline of the TFBoys limo roll down my driveway.
The back window rolled down to reveal a smiling, waving Roy.
I waved back, saying, "Hey! Long time no see."
One of the bodyguards got out and opened the door for me. I murmured a small thanks. This was not something that I was used to. Even after being friends with Roy for so long, sometimes the fact that he was famous still didn't quite click.
I got into the car, sitting next to Roy.
"The others are at the hotel," he said. "I just had to pick you up, along with your present." He winked.
"Alright," I said. "Finally, I'll get to see them again."
Roy rolled his eyes, fake pouting. "Haven't you missed me too?"
I rolled my eyes back at him.
"Are you jealous?" I teased.Roy stared back at me, feigning innocence.
"Jealous of who?" he said, making his eyes wider and wider, while puffing out his cheeks.
I couldn't help it; I started laughing at him. Within seconds, Roy was laughing along with me. The limo driver was probably listening to our conversation, wondering what was wrong with us.
"I've missed this," I said, once our laughter died down.
Pulling me into a hug, Roy murmured, "I've missed you too."
