KATHRINE'S POV

"So, what should we do today?" Karry asked, his arm around my shoulders once again.

Roy smiled and shouted, "FOOD! I need food!"

Karry and Jackson turned to me with confused expressions.

What? Karry mouthed.

"We're going to the supermarket," I explained. Roy was already walking towards the door, motioning for us to come.

Karry and Jackson looked at me again like, what is going on?

I shrugged in response and followed Roy.

"Guys, are you coming or not?" I asked, beginning to shut the door.

Jackson lept up from his seat.

"Yeah, we're coming," he said. Karry blinked once, confused, yet still followed him through the doorway, closing the door.

As soon as we got to the supermarket, Roy bolted for the snack aisle. Karry stood next to me as we watched Roy ransack the shelves. Meanwhile, Jackson went to the produce section to pick up the healthy foods. When Roy finished, he was grinning from ear to ear.

"I got all the snacks we'll need for the next few days," he said.

Karry whispered in my ear. "And then some."

I chuckled. Roy continued, oblivious to Karry.

Finally, Jackson reappeared, his cart full of raspberries, strawberries, kiwis, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, mandarins, noodles, and various dressings and spices. I turned to the other guys.

"Does he usually buy this much?" I asked. Roy and Karry nodded in response.

"Yep. No matter how many times we beg him to just buy some McDonald's, he always insists on eating something healthy," Roy said.

"Well, I just happen to like..." I gestured at the cart, "leaves."

Karry's eyebrows shot up.

"Really?" he said, confused. "You like salad?"

I nodded. The expression in his face was priceless. And pretty cute. I looked at Karry's face once more, my gaze landing on his eyes. Brown, dark brown. They were worth a thousand words. I looked again, this time focusing on his pupils. They dilated ever so slightly as I looked at them.

Wait...doesn't that mean he's attracted to...does he like me?

I could feel my face flushing.

I mean, he did blush a lot last time...and he acted weird around me.

But does that mean...oh my gosh.

KARRY LIKES ME.

As if he could hear my thoughts, Karry's face flushed a light pink. His lips curved up, just a bit.

He's so cute like that...Stop it! He's basically your brother! I said to myself.

But he's so huggable like that...I responded to myself. I just wanna curl up on his lap and cuddle.

Once we were out of the store, the boys and I climbed back into the limo.

I sat next to Karry, across from Roy and Jackson. They exchanged a small, secretive glance as Karry wrapped his arm around me, twirling my hair with his deft fingers. My heart started to race, more than normal. I tensed up a bit, ever so slightly. Karry still noticed.

"What's wrong?" he asked. I shook my head and mouthed nothing.

He went back to twirling my hair.

Do...do I like him? I asked myself.

What's happening...I mean, Karry did this last time and nothing happened to me.

I stopped for a moment. His fingers were too distracting.

Karry didn't have this effect on me before...

Roy and Jackson started talking to each other. I couldn't really hear them; I was too focused on me and Karry. My mind flashed back to all the times we had done this before-it was all platonic. We were doing the exact same thing, but somehow it felt different...

KARRY'S POV

I debated what to do for a few seconds before I wrapped my arm around Kathrine. My mind was still reeling from what happened in the grocery store. She stared into my eyes; I couldn't help myself from staring back as her eyes searched mine.

They were brown, dark brown, like mine. Like so many other people's eyes. But there was something about them that made you want to look again.

Maybe it was just my hormones. Maybe it was just the moment. Maybe it was a thousand other things.

Yet those feelings, those feelings of comfort and that undeniable attraction, those feelings still lingered. They filled my brain, my heart, my being. They told me to move closer, to hold her and feel her body pressed up against mine.

They told me to whisper the words I spent countless nights thinking - dreaming - of saying. They told me...
I felt Kathrine tense up. It was then that I realized I had been playing with her hair.

Pausing for a second, I asked, "What's wrong?"

She shook her head. Nothing, she mouthed. A small smile was on her lips. It was barely noticeable. My hands started their nervous twirling again. I tried to stop them. It didn't work.

I could feel the rise and fall of her chest, the breath going in and out of her nose. I wondered if she could feel my heartbeat, pounding hard and fast.

A sure sign that I liked her.

It was too early for this. I wasn't ready for her to find out.

Only two days now, I said to myself.
