Chapter 4

~Joe~

I peered through phoebes bedroom door, I looked into the living room, the TV and Xbox was gone, there was a vase smashed on the floor and the coffee table knocked over. I looked to my left and saw a umbrella, I picked it up and took it with me for safety. I tiptoed towards the front door. It was wide open. I searched the house and whoever was here had left.

Some one broke in to Zoe's house and stole stuff, we had been burgled!

OMG Zoe was going to kill me. What was we going to do! I ran back towards the front door, slammed it shut and locked it. I shut all the windows in her house turned all the lights on. I walked back to phoebes room, she was hidden under the covers, she looked so cute scared. I went and sat on the bed with her and put my arm around her. She burst into tears, I let her cry, she cried into my chest and I just comforted her. After about half an hour of her crying she finally came around. She looked up at me, her eyes were red and puffy and she looked tired, but she was still beautiful.

"Joe, what are we going to do?!"

"I don't know, I'm sure Zoe will understand."

"But someone burgled our house while we were in it."

"I know."

"How could we be so stupid and let this happen?"

"Hey cheer up, we didn't know it was going on."

"But we could have stopped it."

She started to cry again, I held her in a tight hug, I let her. Cry into my chest.

~Phoebe~

I felt safe in joes arms! I was so scared but with joe I knew I was safe! he held me in a tight hug and I had my head on his chest. I heard my phone, I turned my head and joe let go of me so I could grab my phone. It was a text from Zoe.

Zoe: hey phebs, I know it's late so Alfie said I could stay at his tonight, I'll be back tomorrow. Night x

I replied fast.

Phoebe: hey yep that's fine have a good night x

I turned to joe and looked at his gorgeous dreamy eyes, I could get lost in them I was pulled out of my gaze when joe asked me a question

"Who was it?"

"Oh it was Zoe, she's staying at Alfie's tonight, so I guess it's just you and me."

"Oh that's okay" joe said and smiled. I moved back in to his arms, joe will never know how much I love him.

~Joe~

I laid there with phoebe in my arms, it felt right. She will never know how much I love her. I saw that she had started to fall asleep. I started to move slowly and walk back to my room when I heard a little cute yawn.

"Joe?"

"Yes phebs?"

"Please don't go."

"Don't worry I won't go anywhere." I climbed back into the bed and looked her in the eyes, they were so beautiful, like the tropical sea.

Phoebe got up and went to her bathroom and got into her pjs, I took of my shirt and pants and got into bed in my boxers. I waited two minutes then phoebe came back and climbed back into bed, she looked at me and our heads slowly started to move closer to each other and before I knew it we were kissing, fireworks went off. It was magical. We pulled away and I whispered in phebs ear. "You're perfect." She smiled and shuffled back into me, I held her tight. It just felt right, she will never know how much I love her.
