Chapter 2

~what previously happened~

'You are a werewolf, werepanther, elemental spirit, angel and demon.'......the world started to spin and fade away. I passed out to the fading sound of a beautiful melody......

~Elspeth's pov~

I woke up to the feeling of being watched. Opening my eyes, I was blinded momentarily before my eyes adjusted to the surrounding light. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dark shape lurking in the shadows of the nearby trees. As if sensing my awakening, the shape moved froward out of the shadows of the trees, into the warm sunlight giving me a better view of what it was. As it came closer I️ heard the same beautiful melody from before, a soothing lullaby. The sound was coming from the shape that was moving towards me.
What came into view shocked me more than it scared me. Letting out a gasp of fright, I stared at the creature as it continued to slowly move closer to me, as if it was afraid of startling me. When it was within three feet of me it lowered it's head as if saying it meant no harm. I have never seen any creature with the color of fur it had or the color of eyes it had.
It's fur was a wonderful glossy silver to ash ambre. It came closer still ,nudging my foot with its gigantic head, I️ noticed something sparkling in the sun light on top of its head. A necklace crown of some sort with dazzling opal jewels. Quietly, not wanting to scare it I gently sat up and held out my hand to reference peace between us. The creature was a giant wolf. I let it sniff my hand to know I was a friend not a enemy. It rumbled like purred as I petted it's head.
It or she laid down and gently sat her head on my lap. She then looked me in the eyes and I️ gasped in shock seeing that her eyes looked as if they themselves held the galaxy in them. Suddenly I heard the same voice in my head as before.
'Hello dear. Please do not be frightened it is just me, Ellie, I have made my self into my spirit form to show you what you will look like when you turn into your wolf form. I also came to warn you that it will be very painful process when you shift, especially since this will be your first shift. So you must not pass out from the pain. You will need to fight the darkness because no one else is here to protect you. Do you understand?' Ellie said in a soothing voice.
"Yes I understand, but I am scared still, I️ don't know where I am, how I got here, or who I️ am. I mean I know my name but nothing else." I whimpered with fright.
'Don't be afraid sweetheart I am here. Okay?Also your other friends will awaken in time for you to shift with them. Okay dear?' she said trying to sooth the fright I was feeling.
I️ was quite hesitant to agree with her but I️ could feel the truth and love through the slight bond that we already have formed.
"Okay I trust you guys" I whispered quietly.
I took the time to look around at my surroundings to get a better idea of where I was at the moment. I was surrounded by a meadow filled with purple and white bell flowers but to my back and about a mile in diameter around the meadow was dozens of pine trees and mountain tops. It looked to be about mid day. As the sun shined down in the giant meadow, it made everything shimmer with a gold like hue.
    Before I could admire the rest of my surroundings, Ellie interrupted my train of thought by nudging her huge head against my back.
    'Alexi, you need to get ready for the shift it is going to happen in less than 2 minutes. Go behind one of those trees and take of all your clothes. If you don't feel comfortable enough then just strip down to your undergarments. Now go and hurry. Then come on back out here and get down on your knees okay?' she hurriedly explained.
     I️ jumped up and rushed behind a nearby tree and started taking off my clothes I left my purple under garments on and ran back out to see that Ellie was still waiting for me in the same spot as before.
    'Come quick child you have to get in position now. The shift will start any second. COME!!' She practically shouted with anticipation. I rushed to where she was pacing and got down on my knees. She laid down next to me.
     As I was starting to think that the shift wasn't going to happen. A pain that was unbearable ran through my body. It felt like I was getting beaten by 100 pro boxers at the same time. My head felt like it was about to break open and explode, spraying my brains everywhere, with my body feeling as if I was burning on a stake. My bones started breaking and my ribs started to expand and grow. My mouth started growing outwards into a snout and my legs continued to stretch and shift.
"Please.....don't.....leave.....me.....Ellie...please." I️ gritted through my teeth.
    'I️ will never leave you Alexi. Just hang in there it is almost over.' she said.
    All a sudden my skin started to feel itchy and it burned, then fur started sprouting. As soon as the fur was done growing, the pain stopped. I felt too exhausted to hold on much longer. As I was slipping into darkness once more I heard Ellie yelling at me to stay awake. I tried, I really did but I couldn't hold on any longer and I slipped under to the sound of a low growl.
