A bookshelf spans almost the entire opposite side of my room, it's painted a cream color that goes along with the spearmint walls. My queen-sized bed sits in front of the window, a good three feet from the bookshelf, and is draped in a white bedspread. The pillows are black and I think about the beautiful colors of the room. In the corner, at an angle, sits a white desk with a bulky, baby blue laptop on it. A swivel chair, that looks incredibly comfortable and makes me want to just sink into it, sits just a few inches from the desk. I walk over to the accordion door that leads to my closet and open it. My mouth drops open. The closet is huge, a rack for shoes lines a wall and two poles are extended for hanging clothes, a dresser sits under one of them and I look at the naked wall. I huff and think what I'm about to do with it. I could put my father's vanity there and take out the smaller pole so I have an art wall. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

"Do you like it?" I turn around and see Henry and Mom, his arm is wrapped around her shoulders and she's leaning into his body.

"I love it! Thank you!" I smile. Henry nods. "But, what about clothes?" I ask.

Henry laughs and holds up a credit card. "From me to you, the pin is 5682. Be careful with it, use it wisely, use it to go get you some new clothes." I take the card and look over its shining surface.

Mom walks to me and lays her hands on my shoulders. "Andrew...." She smiles softly and looks at me. She pushes a stray piece of hair behind my ear and cups my cheeks. "I hope you'll do good adjusting," Her voice is soft, that mother's touch. "Tomorrow, me and Henry are going on out vacation, so you'll be here alone for a little bit."

Me? Here? Alone? Yes, please! "That's cool," I say nonchalantly.

Henry smiles and wraps his arms around me, pulling me into a hug. I hug back. "You're stuff is next to your bed," he smiles and takes Mom's hand, then they walk out.

I walk back into my room and walk to the boxes; thankfully, they shut the door. I grab my phone and unlock. I reach into my back pocket and type the number. I click the green button and he picks up almost immediately. Was he just waiting by his phone?

"Hello?" The excitement in his voice is just adorably amazing.

"Hey, it's Andrew," I bite my lip lightly as I lay back on my bed, holding close to his jacket.

"So you called," I can hear the smirk in his voice.

"Yeah. Yeah. I did," I smile as I say it.

"Don't worry, I'm glad you did," he says. I almost let a sarcastic 'No' slip from my mouth.

"Really?" I ask, smiling.

"Yeah. Your mom and Henry are gonna be gone for two weeks right?" He asks. I smile. Is he going to ask me out?

"Yeah!" I say it a little too loud and a little full of excitement. I bite my lip as I listen to the soft hum on the other side of the phone.

"Why don't I come over tomorrow and see you?" His question stuns me.

"Sure!" I smile at the phone. I've never acted this way toward a guy.

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow at around noon?"

"Yeah! Sure!"

"Alright!"

"Alright!" After I say it, it gets silent. The tone rings through my ears and I hold the jacket. I stand up and walk into the closet. I walk over to the dresser and open it. There's already clothes folded neatly and compact in the drawers. My clothes. Mom must've had them brought over.

I pull out a black tank top and some spandex shorts and change. I walk over to my bed, I push the boxes in front of the forever expanding bookshelves, and then I open the top box. I smile, none of my books have even been frayed in a corner. I gently place them all up on the shelf, one by one, the huge shelf fills up and I smile when the last book makes it to the shelf, leaving only about a foot or two left for more books. I'm going to need more shelf soon.

I walk back over to my boxes and pull out the one that really matters, I take out my knife and cut along the tape. I flip the box open and look inside. The pink painted wood isn't splintered, the mirror isn't shattered, the screws aren't lost. A sigh of relief slips past me and I smile as I pull out the pieces.

I set everything out and look around the room. I can push the desk up against the wall and put the vanity next to it, or I can put the vanity against the naked wall in the closet.

Yeah, I'll do that.

I get up and walk out of my room, I walk to Mom and Henry's room. "Hey, Mom?" I peek into the open doorway. Mom's at a mirror combing through her long brown hair.

She looks at me in the mirror, "Yes, sweetie?"

"Do we have any like drills?" I ask.

"I don't know. Henry!" She calls, he walks out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and another wallowing through his hair. I turn around quickly and cuff my eyes.

"What did you need, Andrew?" He asks.

"Just, do we have any like drills?" I ask, keeping my eyes locked on the door.

"They're in the garage, I can go w-"

"I'll go alone," I cut him off immediately, I don't want him walking downstairs with me in just a towel. I quickly exit the room, pulling the door shut behind me. I walk into my room and grab Rick's jacket, I pull it on and grab my phone for a light.
