"Andrew, get up," Tyler whispers, shaking me gently. I groan and roll over, wrapping a pillow around my face. "Your mom's still here, if she comes in here we're screwed!" He hisses. I'm up. I sit up and look at him with terror raiding my wide eyes.

"Where is she?" I ask, my voice squeaking.

"Downstairs, making coffee. But hurry up before she comes to wake you up and you aren't in your room!" He whisper yells. I nod and jump down, running to his smaller closet and grabbing a shirt. "Why did you take my shirt?" He looks confused.

"I like the way you smell," I explain as I run over and give him a quick peck on the lips before running to my room and shutting the door behind me. I quickly slip his shirt on. A dark green t-shirt. I quickly pull on some sweats and a cotton-candy blue pair of Chuck Taylor's.

I hear the knock on my door. "Come in!" I yell. Mom comes bounding in, holding a cup of coffee.

"Guess you beat me," she laughs softly.

"Yeah." I grab my jacket and pull it on along with my backpack.

I grab my phone and earbuds and walk past her. "I hope you have a good day at school today, sweetie," she says as she follows me

"Yeah," I answer as I walk downstairs. I smile at Tyler when I see him sitting on the white couch. He stands and walks to the door with me.

"Bye, Claire!" Tyler waves at Mom.

"Bye, Mom!" I wave as well.

"Bye you two!" She smiles and we're out the door.

As soon as we get on the bus the driver starts. And I'm pretty sure he's just trying to knock us down. As soon as I walk by Jerrod's seat, I feel a hand grab my ass. "Grab ass Friday!" One of the boys yells at me.

Tyler quickly grabs me and shoves me in the seat. He sits on the outer again. "Hey, Jerrod!" Tyler yells. "Leave her alone or Grab Ass Friday will very quickly be turned into Kick Ass Friday!" He growls. A few kids behind us laugh at the comment. I smile at him. He turns and looks at me. "You will not be continuing your little stunt, Andrew."

I nod and plug my earbuds in my phone and put one in my ear then I offer the other to Tyler. He takes it and puts it in his ear. I pull up the song selection and pick one I'm sure he'll like: Runaway Train by Soul Asylum.

It plays in our ears and he lays his head back and closes his eyes, like he's letting the music take him over.

"Andrew, baby, I thought we were going to finish what you started yesterday!" Jerrod blurts out. I keep my gaze down at Tyler's hand that is quickly forming into a fist. I grab Tyler's forearm and he opens his eyes and looks at me. I shake my head and look at his anger filled eyes comb over to soft blue eyes that meet mine.

I smile, "It's okay, Tyler." He nods slowly. The bus comes to a hard stop and everyone stands up and walks off when the driver opens the door. Tyler and I are last off.

He walks me to my locker. "I'd hit that!" Jerrod yells as we pass his locker. I look over to Tyler, his face contorts.

"It's okay," I say softly. He shakes his head. I roll my eyes and open my locker, shoving everything in it and grabbing my English book.

I turn around and look at Tyler when the bell rings. His face is still contorted and his eyes hold anger now. "Don't do anything stupid," I say before I quickly hop off to class.

"Hello, Andrew!" Mr. Gordon greets me.

"Hi." I plop down in my seat and turn around to look at Tara. She smiles bashfully and waves. "Did you kiss him?" I ask.
