Bethany POV
I walked into Music Planet, the only shop in the mall that displayed a sign saying it sold One Directions' new album, Midnight Memories. I looked at the racks at the front of the shop going through every row for the CD. After about 5 minutes of hopeless searching, I went up to an employee wearing a lime green shirt with the logo of the store on it.
"Hi, i'm looking for Midnight Memories, urm, One Directions new album. The sign at the front said you had them." I said to the girl who looked like she was in her mid 20's.
"Oh, you just missed it! A girl came here and took the last 2 albums." she replied," Sorry about that, we are sure to get more around next week."
"Okay, thank you!" I said with a smile on my face. I was actually looking forward to getting the album, so I was a bit disapointed. I started to walk out the store when I felt a vibration coming from my pocket. "What now" I said to myslef. It was a text from Meredith, my best friend.
M- aye where you at
B- at the mall, you?
M- lmao me too
B- meet me in front of Claire's bruh
M- kk be right there
I wonder what she was doing there. I shrugged off my thoughts and since I had nothing to do, I decided to meet up with her in front of Claire's. After going up the escalator, I made my way to the front of the store and called Meredith up.
"Mer. I'm at Claire's ."
"Cool. I think I see you, put your hand up."
"No, i'm not going to, just come to the entrance."
"Okie Dokie"
I stuffed my phone into my pocket and went inside the store. I was going through the rack of earrings at the front of the mall. 20$ for a pack of earrings!? Hell no. "Beth!" I heard from behind me. I turned around only be be pulled into a sudden hug from Meredith. "Hey there" I say into her hair. Her hair smells fruity.
"So what are you doing here B?" she asks.
"Well I went to
"Okay, I know you said you didn't want anything for your birthday but since your my best friend I had to do something."
"Mer, I told you I don't want anything for my birthday."
"I know I know ,but hear me out okay! Because you are turning 19, I got 19 things to give you! Isn't that cool!"
"Meredith. You really didn't have to do that! The best gift would be you by my side the entire day."
"I am gonna be by your side silly, but I wanted to celebrate your birthday big-time, I mean, you never do!"
I give her a smirk and say,"I really appreciate what you do for me Mer. Thank you, but still, I ain't accepting your gifts"
"Bethany Noel Mota. Shut your mouth."
Meredith got up from her seat which was infront of me, walked up to the side of the table and held my hand. She pulled me to get up and walk behind her.
"Nooo, Meeereedith" I whined. I figured I was too lazy to pull away so I decided to go along with whatever she was up to. Before I knew it, we were at Aeropostale. We walked into the store up to the onesie section. "Meredith, onesies? Really?" I said lazily.
"YES! Now go pick one out and try it on."
"Meredith where are you going with this?" I asked raising one eyebrow up.
"Just trust me" she said pushing me towards the onsies "Hurry up okay! We don't got all day missy"
"I don't know how your convincing me." I said.
"Magic my friend, magic" she replied with a smirk on her face."Now PICKKK!' she said.
As she started to look at the shorts rack behind me, I decided to look through all the onesies just for the heck of it. I really don't know where she's going with this but who cares right? I go through all of the onesies when I come across one that looks exactly like the one Niall Horan from One Direction has.
It has 2 parts; one has a navy blue background with white stars and the other has veritcal red and white stripes. It was actually the flag of U.S.A.(photo on the side) I decided to get that one because, well, Niall has it and I love Niall.
