number one:
it was about eleven in the morning and wonwoo was still cuddled up in bed, deciding that getting up was completely useless at this point. he had woken up three hours ago as any normal person would but the cold winter air-restricted him from moving. so, wonwoo reached for the stack of novels constantly on his bedside table and began to re-read the one on top.
the soft patter of the rain outside brought relaxation to wonwoo as he occasionally peered out the large window to watch the grey clouds rumble with thunder.
wonwoo loved days like this. snuggled up in bed with a good book with an oversized sweater tugged over his body. even though, days like that were pretty much occurrent. but it was even more special when it rained. there was no agreement that staying home on rainy days was the best thing that ever. it was just cozy and comforting.
deciding that he had to get up and love like a proper human, wonwoo tossed the blankets off his body and trudged to his kitchen, pushing his circle framed glasses further up his nose.
he reached over for the coffee beans and compressed them into the coffee machine, soon watching the black liquid drip slowly into the glass pot. wonwoo huffed out at the tediousness of the situation.
suddenly, a loud knock interrupted wonwoo's very exciting activity and he definitely didn't step on and stumble over the random blanket on the floor. when he unlocked the door, wonwoo glanced up to meet the surprisingly dead eyes of his neighbour. he was dressed in sweatpants and had a baggy hoodie over his muscular body though he looked weak; sickly. as he spoke, wonwoo was almost taken back by how raspy he sounded.
"hey, wonwoo, um i'm pretty sure the mailman messed up our letters again-"
"you look terrible" wonwoo cut off bluntly, opening the apartment door wider as the younger of the two laughed slightly though let out a violent cough. wonwoo scrunched his nose up at that.
"sorry" mingyu rasped, tightening his hold on wonwoo's mail which made the older crease his eyebrows together. wonwoo reached up and ran his fingers through mingyu's oddly damp hair which made the taller boy flinch slightly.
"have you been in the rain?"
"yeah, i needed cough syrup"
wonwoo almost hit mingyu as his expression dropped into a slight scowl. "are you an idiot? did you not think to bring an umbrella? why would you have gone anyway? you should have called someone"
mingyu coughed before giving the older a sheepish look. "i'm kind of out of it today"
wonwoo could only nod at that as it was true though usually, mingyu was almost always out of it. sighing, wonwoo opened the door a little wider and stepping aside while taking possession of the envelopes in mingyu's grasp.
"come in" wonwoo invited, glancing up to see the taller shake his head.
"no, no, i don't wanna be a burden-"
"i invited you didn't i?" wonwoo laughed in amusement. "come in before you get worse"
mingyu rubbed his neck sheepishly but accepted wonwoo's offer.
the taller sat on the couch, thinking to himself that it was softer than his own. he watched wonwoo pouring his coffee in a white mug, which if it had been turned to the right a little, mingyu would have been able to see the hello kitty print. wonwoo only had this mug because soonyoung had given it to him the last time he had visited. he definitely intended it to be a joke but it was probably wonwoo's most used mug.
"you're lucky my mum came over on the weekend and made some chicken noodle soup" wonwoo spoke, taking out the large container from the fridge that held the soup. he poured it into a bowl and denied mingyu's suggestion for help.
