Arabella's pov

Dalton's head falls into the palm of his hands before he whispers, "It's all my fault."

I quirk my left brow up at the blonde boy. What is he talking about? He didn't do anything, not that I know of anyways. I reach to rub his back and as soon as my fingers come in contact with the rough material of his flannel his whole body flinches in surprise. I flatten my hand against his back and rub in slow soothing circles.

"Dalton, you didn't do anything," I whisper as an edge of nervousness grips on to my voice.

"Yes I did. All of the signs were there, and I didn't pay attention and you got hurt. I'm so sorry. I never meant for you to get hurt. I should've noticed the signs of a panic attack. I had to deal with them for a long time-" He nervously rambled until I cut him off.

"you dealt with panic attacks," I question, wondering how a guy like Dalton could suffer from panic attacks. He seems so bright and happy. the only thing I've seen him be negative about his himself. then it dawns on me. Dalton's whole body went rigid when I asked him about the panic attacks.

"Um... forget I said anything," He whispers nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. I've never seen Dalton as tense as he is right now, one wrong move and he'll be out the door in seconds. I decided that I'll let it go for now as I doubt he wants to tell a stranger about his problems. "Thank you for finding me," I say smiling at him, even though he's not looking at me.

"You're welcome," He whispers, finally lifting his head to look at me. His ocean eyes are now a darker shade of blue as emotions swim through them, before I can pick out what emotion they return to their normal state.

"Here's my number if you need anything just text me," Dalton says before messing up my hair and patting Cherilyn on the head.

"I'm sure that won't be needed," Alessio grumpily chimes in. I roll my eyes at my twin before returning my gaze back to Dalton.

" Thanks. I'm sure I'll be fine but I'll remember that. At least I get to go home and watch you win 3rd place," I say teasing him causing him to groan. I see Dakota and Alessio exchange confused glances.

"Please don't watch those, they're god awful," He groans.

"Nope, I want to hear you sing since you won't sing for me," I tease.

"You won't sing for me," He says smirking.

"Touche" I say, before pushing him by the shoulder playfully.

"How did you lose," I laugh as I facetime Dalton, while watching his Idol videos.

"Well it all started when I joined the same competition as Trent Harmon," He narrates causing me to giggle. He sends me a wide smile before adjusting his position on his bed. I facetimed him an hour ago, and we've been talking about anything and everything. I reacted to his Idol videos while we talked, of course he wouldn't stop commentating on how bad it was. I don't know where he got that idea, he was amazing. We told each other stories from our childhood, laughing the entire time.

He told me of his family's tradition to have a water-balloon fight during the Easter egg hunt. I thought he was insane when he told me this. I told him how Dakota, Axel, and I pranked Alessio with duck-tape when we were nine. We exchanged stories until my mom came into my room because we were being so loud.

"For heaven's sake who could you be talking to at eleven at night," She says as she bursts into my room. Of course she walks into the room as I'm laughing at Dalton, who is showing me his old boyband dance moves. She walks over to my bed looking concerned as I am basically gasping for air. "Who are you talking to you this late at night," she questions quirking her eyebrows up at me.

"Dalton," I manage to gasp out, before bursting out laughing again. Dalton is rolling around on his bed laughing, tears brimming his eyes from the laughter.

"Who is Dalton," She questions. I simply just point to my phone's screen before resuming my laughing. She just shakes her head at me, before walking out of my room.

"So are you going to tell me who the boy you were up talking to until one in the morning is," My mom questions the next morning. I just groan in response. Dalton and I stayed up until one a.m talking and I could not be more tired.

"You were up talking to a boy, but you love your sleep," Alessio says surprised. I don't blame him I do love my sleep.

"Somebody has a crush," Dakota sings in my ear causing me to push his face away from mine.

"Not now Kota," I grumble, laying my head on the top of the dining table.

"I didn't hear a no," He teases before heading into the living room.

"So who is this guy," Alessio asks.

"A friend," I mutter.

"You stay up until one a.m for "just a friend". Now why don't I believe that." Alessio says leaning towards me

"Shut it"
