Willow Tree

I climbed your willow tree

Next to your house that you demolished years ago .

From the far view everything appeared dying,

Yet it's burning with fire and loath .

I decided to ignore the yearning to abandon this tall firm tree,

For the intense flames were inviting me to depart

And the wind whispered luring lullabies of security to my ears .

I sat on one of your vigorous branches

And read the everlasting stories of your wild adventures ,

Where you sailed seas and tramped through islands ,

Where you travelled to places that my mouth can't pronounce and my mind can't comprehend ,

Where you flew too high and dove too deep ,

That you left some fragments of your spirit

Beneath the ocean's hidden secrets

And on top of the exquisite star's weep .

The end to each story scared me to death ,

For I knew that with every risk you take

A young innocent flower would lose its breath  .

And out of sudden ,

The moment that I wished not to come

Came parading swiftly toward my fragile bones in a rythm .

The wind huffed ,

Anger was laced to its commanding words

And venom was seeping from its blood .

I clinched tight to the branches of your despair ,

Hoping wholly that you would give me one more chance to spare .

My plea weren't heard from the wind you taught to howl

Nor from the willow tree ,

That you planted to stand both tall and proud .

Instead of holding tight and let my body take the risk of staying ,

I let your destiny to throw me to wherever you want me to be flaming .

So, now I'm laying inside your burned house .

The ceiling seems prettier than your hushing leaves and the quite rain sound .

Regret rushed into my veins

And sadness found its way to my eyes ,

For not only did I know that your tree was poisoned ,

But also I was taught not to touch what is meant to die .
