~ONE~

*Madison*

I sat on the street corner, cold and scared. I have no money, no home, no family, and no friends. I have nothing.

I am alone.

I have been sitting here, begging for money but I am receiving nothing. Nobody cares to help the dumb teen who got herself kicked out.

As I was sitting there, I set my head down and began crying only to look up and see two guys standing there.

"Hey, do you need some help?" The one with shaggy brown hair asked me.

"Yes. If you could please give me anything, anything at all, I would be so grateful. I'm Madison by the way."

He looked at his friend and pulled him aside real quick before coming back. "Here, come with us. I am David and this is Dom. He lives in an apartment with our friend Alex. They have an extra room that you can stay in."

"Oh my god, thank you so much, David right?"

They both looked at me for a minute and then the blonde said, "You really don't know who he is?"

"No, should I?" I asked them.

"I'm an internet star. David Dobrik?"

"My parents were strict, they never gave me a phone and once I got kicked out last year I didn't really have any way to get one." As I said this I could see they looked shocked and upset. "It's fine though, I'm used to not knowing things because of that. So, which way to the apartment?"

"This is your room. If you need anything, just give me a call." He took a phone from behind his back and handed it to me. "I had my friend go out and get it for you. I added me and everyone else into the contacts and I will take you all to meet them tomorrow. Except for three, they are in the living room. Come out when you are ready."

Once David left the room, I threw myself onto the bed. This was the most comfortable I have been in a year.

After lying in the bed for ten minutes examining the phone, I remembered that David said there were people waiting to meet me.

"Here she is." Dom said as I walked down the hallway. "Everyone, this is Madison."

"Call me Maddie, please."

"Wow, Dom isn't all over her yet?" The girl sitting with David asked.

They all laughed and I gave an awkward giggle trying to fit in.

"Very funny, Liza." Dom sarcastically laughed.

"Anyways, this is Liza, Ilya, and Alex." He pointed to each of them and they all waved. "Not the Alex that lives here, that Alex is in Minnesota right now. Anyways, I was kind of thinking, you probably need some clothes. Liza said she wants to take you shopping, you up for it?"

"Sure? Where will we go?"

"Target, the mall, wherever you want to go. I was also thinking we could go get some lunch after, does Hooters sound good to you? My friend works there and wants me to stop by." Liza asked me.

"Anything's fine, I just haven't eaten in a couple days."

They all looked at me like I was a maniac.

"Oh come on honey, let's get you some clothes and food." Liza ushered me out of the apartment, taking me down to the parking garage.

"Thank you so much for the clothes and the food." I said to Liza as we sat down in the restaurant.

"Hey Liza! Is David here?" A blonde headed woman said as she walked up to us.

"No, he is waiting for Alex at the airport. This is Maddie, she's staying in David's old room for a while." She gestured towards me.

"Hi," The other girl said. "my name is Corinna."

"David put her number into your phone to in case you need to reach her."

I opened my phone and Liza showed me where the number was so that I would remember.

"Oh, okay. Nice to meet you."

After we ate lunch, Liza took me back to the apartment and David met her at the door once we arrived.

"You okay?" He asked before leaving. "Anything else you need?"

"I'm good, thank you so much, again."

"No problem." He hugged me and shut the door.

As I threw myself onto the bed yet again, plugging headphones into my phone as I did so.

"Let's get lost for a minute..." I sang out, forgetting that Dom was home.

Out of nowhere, someone tapped my shoulder making me jump and almost fall of the bed.

"Sorry!" A weird man apologized as my headphones fell out of my ears. "I didn't mean to scare you."

"No, no, it's fine. Who are you though?" I asked him.

"Umm... my name is Alex. I live here?"

"Oh my God, is this your room? David said this is where I can stay he didn't tell me you lived in here. I can go."

I frantically started packing some of my stuff and immediately he stops me.

"No, stay. I don't live in this room, I share a room with Dom." He stared at me. "Who are you?"

I looked up at him before talking. "My name is Maddie, I was living on the streets but David offered to let me stay here."

"Oh, well nice to meet you." He began walking out of the room and stopped. "Hey Maddie, do you want to go see a movie or something?"

I smiled and looked down, then looking up again and meeting his eyes. "I'd love to, just let me change real quick."
