Chapter 5: Long Flight Ahead

Jack goes to his phone and scroll down to one of his contacts, and presses the call button. Several seconds later, someone answers.
"Hey Gabe, can you come over to my house quickly?" Jack asks, "I have something really important to ask you."
"Okay I'll be over in a few," Gabe replies.
Jack turns off his phone and puts it in his pocket as SOAK disassembles and morphs back into a watch. Few minutes later, Gabe arrives at Jack's house. Jack walks outside to greet him. Gabe and Jack look quite similar and like very similar stuff, but Jack has short dark blonde hair, while Gabe has very short blonde hair.
"Thanks for coming," Jack thanks, "because I'm in a crazy situation right now and I need your help."
"Does this involve that spaceship crash that happened yesterday?" he jokes.
Jack stares at him with no emotion.
"You're kidding me right?" he says.
"Well...no," Jack replies, "SOAK, show yourself."
SOAK disassembles and morphs into it's original shape.
"Woah! What the hell is that thing?!"
"This is the Sphere Of All Knowledge, but I call him SOAK for short. He's an artifact that was inside that crashed ship."
"No wonder it looks so advanced. Did you hear about those alien spaceships that are just flying beside the planet?"
"Yeah I saw it on the news, they were orbiting the Earth because they're looking for SOAK because they want to use it to destroy a plant which is home to another alien race known as the Dezsarians. The ones flying those ships are Dezsarians who were evicted from the planet for their crimes known as the Moonwatch."

"So, why do you need my help?"
"Because you have your license and a car, so we're gonna need you to drive us to Area 51."
"Area 51? I always knew that place existed, but why do need to get there?"
"The crashed spaceship was taken there for for further researching. We need to go there so Jack and I can get to that ship inside so I can fix the crashed spaceship so we can fly it out to space so we can take down those spaceships so we can keep them from destroying Verex, as well planet Earth."
"But I heard that it's located in Nevada, which is really far away from here."
"What?! SOAK is it true that Area 51 is located in Nevada?" Jack asks.
"Yes, it is located in Nevada, southern Nevada to be exact," SOAK replies.
"SOAK! Do you realize that we have to drive at least TWO THOUSAND MILES to get to Nevada?! We're in freaking Michigan! We'll miss a few days of school just driving!" Jack complains.
"But is it not the weekend?"
"Look, I know that it's the weekend," Jack replies to SOAK, "but by the time we get there it will be late Sunday, and by the time we get back, we would've missed a day or two of school."
"Are you not willing to miss some school to save the world?"
"I would if I could, but I can't miss school," Gabe replies, "I'll be marked absent for those classes I miss which will make my parents angry at me plus it'll screw up my attendance."
"Same here," Jack agreed.

"Well then, I guess your world will be doomed for destruction, and the Moonwatch will take me and use me to destroy Verex, and possibly more planets."
"Wait, if you can basically do anything..." Jack begins, "I got an idea."
"What is your plan then, Jack?"
"You hack into some servers and buy us plane tickets. Make them first class as well, and make them one-way tickets since we can just fly the spaceship back in time to go to school."
"What about those Moonwatch aliens?" Gabe asks.
"We should have enough time after school to fly in space and destroy those ships, at least I'm pretty sure we could," Jack replies.
"Then let us not waste anymore time! I shall buy the tickets."
A few seconds go by as SOAK floats still in place.
"I was able to kick off two passengers and get you two first-class tickets on a Delta flight in four hours. We must go now to the Detroit Airport."

"You're coming with us, right?" Gabe asks.
"Well I have to obviously," SOAK replies,"I mean, how are two 17 year olds that have zero knowledge on spaceships going to fix an extraterrestrial spaceship with technology thousands of years ahead of time?"
"That's an insult, isn't it?" Jack says getting into the passenger side of Gabe's car.
"Not meaning to hurt feelings but it's true," SOAK replies, "Like I said before, I don't feel emotion, I just think on my own."
Gabe and Jack close their doors, with SOAK in Jack's hands and Gabe starting up the car.
"I just realized, I don't know how to get to the Detroit Airport," Gabe says hitting his head on the steering wheel in frustration, causing the car to honk which made the neighbor's kids across the street jump.
"Do not fear, leave the driving to me."
