The Moon shone bright over the courtyard which overlooked the sea. There was a small crowd gathered around. At the side nearest the sea, a preacher stood with a young man. They were waiting for a specific young lady to arrive. Near the pavilion, the stringed instruments began to play the piece that marked that the bride to be was on her way. The crowd rose from their seats and looked at the back of the aisle. The young lady was wearing a pink and purple dress, and wore an orange veil. She arrived at the pavilion, and the man and woman faced the preacher.
"Dearly beloved," said the preacher, "we are gathered here today to witness the bonding of holy matrimony of Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren."
A light applause swept through the audience.
"If anyone can give good cause as to why these two should not be wed," he continued, "let him speak now, or forever hold his peace."
Silence filled the air. After a couple of seconds a voice was heard from the back of the aisle.
"I have a fair reason to object," said the voice.
Everyone turned to see where the voice came from. It was a member of the British Royal Navy. An admiral to be precise.
"And just what might that reason be?" asked the preacher.
"Warrants for their arrests. Straight from the King's palace."
Ezra grabbed the warrants and saw that there were also warrants for the arrests of Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, and Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios. He handed Sabine her warrant and they read what they were being charged for. Piracy. Oddly there was a condition that would nullify their prison sentences. They needed to get the map that could take them anywhere in the world.
"Just who are you," said Sabine's mother, Countess Ursa Wren, "to carry such authority?"
"I am Admiral Thrawn." he replied.
Armed guards came to collect them, but Ezra spoke before they could take them.
"So, according to this," he said, "If we get you the map that is currently in the possession of Captains Kanan, Hera, and Zeb, we keep our freedom?"
"No," he replied. "Just you. She stays here."
Sabine and Ezra came closer to have a whispering conversation. They came up with a plan. Ezra would take several kegs of gun powder, hide a crate in the middle of them so Sabine could stow away, and they would search for the Ghost together. Ezra agreed to the conditions, but asked for a few days to prepare. Thrawn accepted the request.
And here. We. Go!
Next chapter will be out soon.
