Authors note: Hey good people J, I am so sorry for taking too long to update, I just had a lot to do. I can't really thankyou enough for being patient with me. School has been too much L, and I sometimes don't get time to write, and when I do, a writer's block occurs, but any who, thanks so much for being patient, I know I took long, but I promise I won't take so long again. Hope you enjoy this chapter. J

"Ready or not, here I come!!!" she called. It was a sunny afternoon and we had decided to go play hide and seek. I was giggling uncontrollably, as I crouched behind a large tree – my favorite hiding spot. I clasped my hands over my mouth trying to suppress the laughter. Having succeeded to some extent, I peeked carefully around the wide trunk to see where my mother was.
"Lemme see, are you ...... behind this bush1" she called as she suddenly popped her head around the dense shrub. "No? Wow!! You are getting good at this." She leaned back and brought her hands to her waist. Watching safely from fifty feet away, I couldn't help it anymore. I burst out giggling at her frustration all over again.
"What's that sound? There is a funny noise coming from that tree." She came closer and I ducked my head, certain she had seen me. "Maybe there is something special!!" she called. "Is it a magical fairy? A unicorn...?"
She was getting closer. I peeked around the tree trying to spot her, when suddenly I was in the air. I squealed with delight as she twirled me around. "It's a princess, my princess! I found you yet again," she held me close. "and anywhere you go, I will always be there to find you," she promised and I clung to her like she was all I had left in the world.
........................................................
"Amelia?"
My focus snapped back to the present and my eyes flicked up at the woman sitting across me. Her eyebrows were arched joining in an inquisitive expression, and for a moment I was unable to remember why I was here.
"Um......could you repeat what you said please?" I asked, unsure.
The woman shifted in her chair and adjusted her grip on her notepad. I cringed inwardly embarrassed to have been caught day dreaming.
"You went through something very traumatic. Something no one should ever have to endure. The healing process takes time, but in order to do that, you need commitment, and you need to let people in." she answered and I remembered I was at the psychologist's office. I must have been really far off, if I could barely remember I was at this tormenting place. I took a deep breath before responding.
"I know I need to let people in, and um...... I am glad they support me this far, but I just don't feel secure trusting people just yet." I turned my head to look out the large window by my chair.
"Do you have anyone who you can confide in at this point?" she asked gently.
I turned away from the window and glanced at the floor for a moment considering, "Well there is Meghan, she is my best friend, since my mother died." I replied hoping it was assuring her that I was not totally alone in all this.
"No one else?" She asked.
"Not at the same degree."
I could see the disappointment in her eyes as she scribbled something into her notepad. Part of me feels like she is such a nice lady and I can't help but feel sad for not being able to confide in her, when she is trying almost everything to help me out. Another part of me doesn't want to be here, but I had to do this for my Dad.
