You wake up the next after a night spent with video games and filled with junk food. You felt sick cause you know you ate too much sugar the night before, but you honestly had no idea what else you had done the night before. You roll out of bed and throw on some comfy clothes. God knows you need them with how shitty you were feeling.
What you did remember was that you and Jeremy had decided to go through with dumping your money together to buy Squips. You remembered this because you had set a reminder on your phone to bring your cash.
After grabbing clothes and some breakfast from the kitchen, you shuffle through the drawers through your bedroom, looking for all the money you owned and managed to scrounge up the $300 you needed for the Squip.
You walk to school that day, not wanting to deal with the dumbasses on the bus. You snack on a granola bar on the way cause you had stuffed your breakfast into your bag and you were honestly too lazy to pull it out. You think on your way to school.
"Am I honestly about to do this?"
--------------
You meet up with your friends at your usual place in the morning. It was quiet, and no one really walked through. As in it was in the library and no one really reads books anymore.
"Are you guys really going through with this?" Michael askes.
"Of course! If it doesn't work... Well, we tried!" You exclaim.
"Yep. And here goes all of my bar mitzvah money..." Jeremy speaks up.
"You know those are for 13-year-old boys?" You say.
"Yeah. But maybe I still wanted one. I can dream, (Y/N)!"
--------------
You and Jeremy wander to the boy's bathroom the same time you had been in there yesterday and find Rich leaning against a stall door.
"You got the money?" He askes.
Both you and Jeremy take out your wallets and pull out your cash, handing it to him. It takes a second to pull your cash from your hand, as you still fear you're getting scammed in this situation.
"Sorry..." You awkwardly laugh a little.
Rich raises an eyebrow towards you, prying the money from your grasp, and then pulling out two small individual plastic baggies containing small gray pills.
"Oh, remember to take it with Mountain Dew."
"What? Why Mountain Dew?" You question.
He shrugs, "No idea, that's just how it works."
"Uh... Okay, thanks, Rich." You say, pulling Jeremy out of the bathroom to find Michael, whom you find outside of the bathroom, waiting for the both of you.
"Did you get them?" He asks, spotting you leave the bathroom.
"Yep! You guys wanna skip and see if these work?"
"Haha, of course! If they don't work we can just hang out at Jeremy's" He says in response, both of you laughing slightly.
You and Michael notice that Jeremy isn't paying any attention to the conversation, but is instead looking at the play sign-up sheet on the wall across from us.
"Hey? Is Jeremy there?" You wave your hand in front of his face.
"Oh, y-yeah. I'm here..." He says, shifting his body, looking uncomfortable.
"Just go sign up already. It's obvious you want to so you can see Christine." Michael chuckled.
"Uh... N-No, It's fine, guys" He starts walking away towards the exit. You stop him by grabbing his arm and drag him towards the sheet, handing him a pen from your backpack.
He takes the pen, his hands shaking, and signs his name.
"GAYYYYY!" Rich yells.
Everyone in the hallway started laughing at him.
"Ahhhh, I like gay people," Chloe added.
You look at your friend, terror written all over his face, as his eyes start tearing up and he runs out of the building.
