The earrings were the ones my brother wore all the time.. before he passed away..

Me and my brother were best friends! I was the reason he died. We went to our favourite picnic spot every two days. The tree by the pond. The greenest grass ever seen.

We played tag one day by our spot. I was it. We were running around but than my brother tripped on a tree root and hit his head hard on a rock. He was knocked out. Being the idiot I was, I thought if I tied a rock to his foot and put him in the pond, he would wake up!

He never did. Instead, he drowned.

I felt so guilty and still feel so.

I set the earrings on the desk and realized my nosebleed had stopped. I hurry into bed drifting off into a sleep where the morning awaits me.
