Closing the door of the car as I stepped out and grabbed my bag, started walking towards the front of the rather big and spacey house we had stopped at. Looking back towards the direction of Texas, I sighed and took that big step forward into the new life I was going to be living.
Knocking on the door I waited for barely a second when it swung back with such force I expected it to have flown off its hinges. Standing in the doorway was a guy around my age, he looked at my bag and smiled at me, then said in this clear strong voice that I knew this guy was someone that you didn't want to tangle with. "You must be that new transfer student that we are getting today, right? " He invited me in and then I noticed his eye color that was quite an interesting color. Both his eyes were like twin pools of the perfect summer water, brown haired and aqua blue eyes. He led me into this big room that was not the living room, but was similar in some way. There in the middle of the room was a table with a couple of other guys sitting in it. When we walked in they all looked over at us, especially me; since I was the newcomer. They all seemed to be around my age, they all had to be obviously in college, why else would there be a bunch of guys living here with nothing to do.
I stood there just looking around, too shy to introduce myself. Then one guy got up and walked over to me and introduced himself. "Hey, I'm Lance. Sophomore. everyone else are freshmen except for Tristen who is a junior. " Lance looked over his shoulder as the guy that opened the door for me spoke up. "C'mon don't make me seem older than all of you." The group of guys chuckled as he was pretending to be hurt by Lance's show of words.
I walked over to a smaller room and set my stuff down as I started to organize my clothing into the closet and drawers. I turned around and jumped back in surprise as I saw one of the guys leaning againt the door frame. He had this sort of relaxed feeling around him.
