The day didn't start off bad. My mind dwelled on the past as per usual. I went through the process of going to my classes without interruption. It wasn't until I noticed a face in the waves of students that didn't belong here. My human brown eyes locked onto him as he moved like water through the students.

Right to a group of unsuspecting teenagers at their lockers. His hand moved by his hip and my legs propelled my forward. The students knew nothing of the two monsters walking with them. Most of the teens had their backs to him, talking animatedly about something. Probably clothing articles, sports, or their weekend plans. Humans are rather predictable. As much as many of them infuriated me and had been in my way, I wouldn't just let him kill them. He raised a hand wrapped around a pencil, undoubtedly glamoured as a dagger.

He struck out just as I lunged. He let out a strangled choking sounds as I slammed him into the lockers lining the wall between two classrooms. The boom of a body on metal echoed down the hallway. Everyone nearby stopped to look. I couldn't stop myself from growling low in my throat at him, fangs bared at him. His dull green eyes full of hate strayed from my fangs to my eyes. Obviously, just like everyone else in all three of the worlds, he does not know who I am. But he recognizes what I am.

The group of teens watched the display with wide eyes, both curious and slightly afraid. "Get off of me, I'm busy." He snarled at me.

"Kade, you don't belong here. And as long as I see you, you will be conducting no such business." I replied, a calm tone underlined with a warning growl.

He rolled his eyes, scowl set firmly on his face. "Let me go." I opened my mouth to reply. I didn't get a single word out before I jump out of range. Kade had gotten his arm free and swung the blade at my face, no longer disguised as a pencil. Everyone saw the dagger, but they didn't see the two monsters rising to the surface of human skin. The students stood around nervously yet somewhat excited by the thought of a fight.

"Yes, most of them are annoying and very rude to everyone, but I wouldn't want them dead," I faced him, eyes locked onto each other. "Well, maybe a few of them would be okay." I let a wicked smile warp my lips.

"I can arrange that." He mirrors my expression, eyes dancing with blood-lust.

"So can I. But I'd rather not bother."

"You've always had more emotions that the rest of us." He spat. I did because I was different than the other demons. I held a different position then them, even before I ran away from the place that I had called home. Even if it wasn't my true home. Suddenly, Kade lunges. "If you won't let me kill them, I'll kill you instead!"

I have to hand it to him, he's strong and moved like an asp. Unlucky for him, I can move faster. He threw forward a hand clasped on the dagger. I grab his wrist as I twist of a foot. He arm goes over me and I pull him forward and throw all of my weight into him with my shoulder. The dagger falls from his hand and I snatch it out of the air while I spin again. The blade slashes out and cuts through fabric and flesh.

Green blood leaks from his stomach and spreads through his shirt and pants, some dribbling onto the ground. Students around us gasp and one screams. I hear teachers shouting at students to get out of their way as they push through the growing crowd. "What'll you do now? You're exposed." Kade grins at me, letting his blood drip to the floor as his wound very very slowly heals.

"Leave, Kade. Go home. Go somewhere if not there." I say deathly quiet, posture straightening.

"Not until I return the favor!" Before I can register him movements, he's on me, teeth sinking into my shoulder as he knocks me backwards. I grit my teeth against the pain and slam the blade up into his chest. The very tip slices out the his back. Teachers curse and shoo the teenagers away. Kade roars and rears back, his form rippling before me, dagger buried hilt deep. Well crap. I missed his heart. Barely.
