Caroline's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Are you sure it's fixed?" Daniel asked me as I handed him the controller.
"Yeah. I just had to fix this little bar here that keeps it stable. But it should fly normally now."
I proceeded to hand him the drone he asked me to fix. You could tell it broke because of the tape on the bottom.
"Thank you so much. I knew you could do it for me."
He wrapped he arm around me and kissed my forehead gently.
"It's no problem. "
Daniel and I have been dating for 2 years and things were moving towards quickly. His band members and I hung out everyday after school, and we were very happy together. Unfortunately I would be moving soon, so Daniel and I spent every minute we could together. Literally almost every minute.
"Don't just stand here with me! Go test it out!" I exclaim to him.
A smile lights up on his face as he puts the controller in his pocket and jogs to the door . I waved to him as he got off the porch , watching him go down to the sidewalk launching the drone. It rises into the air and slowly drifts away from him into the trees. In panic , Daniel starts running after it. He disappears down the road, leaving me laughing. I thought it was funny how his drone was running away from him. But as he ran down the sidewalk after he drone, something changed. It started pouring rain. Very hard. Lightning bolted across the sky and the thunder rumbles in the distance. I started getting worried about Daniel , considering he didn't bring a jacket of a hoodie like he usually does. But all I could do is wait, because there way no way I was going out there in the middle of a thunderstorm. So I waited.
I sighed, taking a seat on the couch so I could get a clear view of the window. I opened my phone, checking my text messages. I hadn't gotten a text from Daniel.
Where could he be?
