Red

Black and red
Is splattered all over the walls

The red is shining
Dull and crimson copper

The black is inky
Like a void that leads to nothing

I don't remember
What had happened

I just snapped
And saw red

It's all over
My shirt
My hands
My pants
My shoes
It's all over
The walls
The knives
The things on the floor

They are no longer
Human
Alive
Or named

They are just
Mauled
Beyond
Recognition

I'm pretty sure
That the black
Is my imagination

Or
Else
Why
Would
It
Be
Swirling

A creature imerges
From the black
Asks if I want to come back
To the realm of sanity

I refuse
Knowing I will never return
The creature smiles
And asks if I'm sure

I smile at it
And say I'm positive
Besides
Who
Would
Want
To
Leave

The creature bows
Then disappears
Into a puddle
Of the void
That's slowly spreading

I see smiles
I see eyes
In the inky void

They are proud
Of what I've done
What I haven't denied
What I've chosen

They want me
To do it more
Spread
Their
Work
Beyond
This
Little
Room

I shrug
And say
Why not
This
Is
The
Most
Fun
I've
Had
In
Years

Their smiles widen
And their laughs echo
Throughout
The
Tiny
Room

I've
Been
Cursed
To
Hell

And
I
Don't
Care
