Serenity's POV:"Hey sweetie how was school?" my mums cheery voice booms from the house, while the sound of a blender goes off. Setting my bag down and kicking off my shoes I make my way to the kitchen. "It was alright" I shrug, grabbing a green apple from the fruit bowel and taking a large bite out of it.
"Thats good honey, did you make any friends?" She asked with hope laced in her voice. Rolling my eyes I take another bite of the apple before throwing it in the bin, having enough of its sour taste and grabbed a red apple. "Young lady thats simpy a waste of food, next time your going to eat it before grabbing another one. Now answer my question"
Sitting down in one of the colourful yellow bench stools I answered her fianlly. "No mum, I haven't made friends. And to be quiet honest I don't need them" I say, looking up at her as she takes a butcher knife out the draw. Which confused me since we were having lasagna tonight and it only uses mince.
"Well Serenity it isn't healthy for you to have no friends. Scientist have proved that you can die quicker from having no social life" She says, jolting me to life as she slams the butcher knife down on the onions that lay helplessly on the cutting board. I furrow my eyebrows at her statement. Yet again my gullible mother believes another stupid theory. "Two things mum, One, having no friends wont kill me, thats impossible and stupid. Two, why the hell are you using a butcher knife to cut onions?" She huffs and slams the butcher knife down on the counter. "Because I cant find a damn knife anywhere! Its like they grew legs and ran away!" My mum rants, drying her hand on a tea towel and I giggle at her goofiness. My father says thats one of the many reasons he loves my mother. They met in order of my mothers clumsiness. She had spilt his coffee all over his chest while she was a waitress and even to this day he has burn scars from the scalding coffee.
"Look mum, all I really want is to concentrate on school at the moment. Friends cause un-nessasary drama. I like my peace" I state proudly finishing off my apple and throwing the core in the bin. "Fine, but once collage starts I want your friends over stat" She says pointing her finger up at me and I salute her. "Yes mum, calm down" I giggle, walking out the kitchen.
Making my way up to my room, I see my pet cat sniper trot down the hall. Yes I know, who names their cat Sniper? Well, I did. "Hey snipe, are you gonna help me with an assignment?" He meows and rubs his head against my jacket. I enter my room and close the door behind me. I picked up my laptop off my desk and sat down on my bed, pitting sniper on my lap. After typing nly one fourth of my assigment, I look down to my lap to see Sniper was happily asleep. I smile and stroke his fur softly. I have a friend. He just comes in cat form and cant speak. All of a sudden he jolted awake, by a revving noise that errupted from outside, even scaring me a bit. I place sniper on my bed so I can get up, but he soon follows me and I look out my window. Squinting my eyes I see Arron woods who is sadly my neighbour, Arrow is a school bad-boy along with his other friend Rogue Braxton, who's the schools troublemaker. But when then I see that other guy in the driveway, the one wearing a leather jacket, leaning on the Harley Davidson that was in the driveway. He was the guy that winked at me. I instantly went weak at the knees.
I blushed instantly when I thought of the moment, his lips curling up into a grin flashing his pearly white teeth to me. It almost made me breathless. But who was I kidding? The other girls at my school would catch his attention before I ever would.Little did I notice that they were looking up at me from the driveway.
"Aye beautiful, wanna take a photo it'll last longer" Arrow laughs and I gasp, how long had I been staring at him for? Once I gain enough courage I answer him back.
"S-sorry, I was j-just seeing where all the noise was coming from" I respond, stuttering lamley during my speech.
"Yeah whatever, just get back to doin your homework" The winking boy responded rather harshly and I frowned at his coldness. "Yeah sure" I mutter to myself, returning to my laptop and continuing with my assignment,
Yet again, the sound of a revving motorcycle was heard down the street, yet this time the revving was much more familiar. The revving of this bike is the same revving I'd here daily. It was my father. Smiling to myself, I grabbed Sniper and made my way downstairs and put sniper down before walking into the kitchen, where my father was in the middle of a make-out session with my mum.
"Ew guys. Pg please for my own sake" I groan and they laugh. "Sorry beautiful, but you know how your mother is. She just cant keep her hands off of me" My father chuckled, chucking his leather jacket on the back of the dinning table chairs, revealing his business suit. "Yuck" I mumble and he laughs. My father was a business man much to his distaste. His dream was to be a mechanic, and hopefully open his own workshop. We talked about it together. Saying how I'd be second in command. My parents were the definition of opposites attract. My father was the schools bad boy. Running a muck, smoking on school grounds, ditching classes, in detention everyday. My mother however was the tumblr teenager. She loved reading romantic novels as she rung out with her friends, sharing quotes about life or fake friends, while drinking hot coffee. Luckily for me I'd developed my fathers mentality. The love of cars and bikes.
In our garage was a large collection of Harley Davidson's and Vintage cars, and we had a large interest for them. I cant wait ill one day I inherit all the vehicles and then give them to my children just like my father had given them to me.
"How was school pumpkin?" My father asked me and I gave him an oblivious stare. "Dad, you ask me everyday, what do you think the answer is?" He looks at the ground in thought then looks back up at me. "Ahhh, It's the same boring shit and I have no friends?" I smile and give him a thumbs up as my mum throws a fork at him from behind. "What did I did I do now woman?" He whines in pain and I stifle back a laugh. "Our daughter has a major problem here Adrian, and you think it's a joke! She has no friends" my mum says with worry and concerned eyes.
"Tsk Lisa, I had no friends either. They're a waste of energy" My father mumbles and I nod my head in agreement at his statement when my mum looks at me. "Yes thats because you were an anti social bad boy. Like that Hades boy that goes to her school" My mum replies rolling her eyes. Hades? Who names their son after the devil?
"Who's Hades?" I ask and both my parents look at me. "The devil himself, Hades Apollo. He's a boy you're going to stay away from. He recently got out of Juvie, and he's now back at school. He's a good for nothing trouble maker tattoo addict. Stay away from him he's nothing but bad" my mum warns me and my mind wanders off into thoughts.
A boy that had recently come into my school, a boy I'd never seen before with tattoos and a dangerous aura,,,,
The winking boy...The winking boy is Hades Apollo. The Devil has winked at me...
