STEP STEP STEP! Lucy walked slowly down the school path back to her classroom. She was crammed between the other kids in her line who were pushing and shoving. Her blue school uniform was boring and dull, and her shorts weren't much different. A golden locket hung safely around her neck. The locket part was in the shape of a heart and it glistened in the morning sun. SHOVE!! Two boys in the line crashed into her, making the thin chain of Lucy's locket brake causing the locket to slip of and crush underneath all the students feet.
"Oops! Sorry!" One of the boys apologised. Lucy scooped up the shattered bits of golden metal of the cold floor and shook. She clasped her fist around it as a single wet tear ran down her cheek and dropped onto the concrete. She let her hair cover her face as her hair lucky snapped and fell to the ground. One of the boys bent over and smirked.
" THATS what your crying about? A stupid NECKLACE? Psh, just get a new one!" The boy teased. He smacked the necklace pieces out of Lucy's hands and on to the ground and gave a playful anime shout and stomped on the locket. Lucy shuddered and rose to her feet, more tears running down her face.
"What would you know," she murmured.
"What?" The biy questioned, his pitiful smirk drooping away.
"I said..." Lucy began " WHAT WOULD YOU KNOW?!!!!???" She screamed. Her face was red and tear stained and her eyes were bloodshot.
" YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW IMPORTANT THAT LOCKET IS TO ME!!!" Lucy yelled. The boys face drained it's color away and he stood still.
" I'LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER ONE AS IMPORTANT AND SPECIAL AS THE ONE YOU JUST CARELESSLY STOMPED ON!!!!!" Everyone was silent. Lucy breathed and wiped her tears from her face. She scooped up her locket bits and chain and walked away. Big fat tears rolled down her face as she walked, clasping her beloved, broken locket. Lucy sat on a nearby bench and desperately tried to piece the locket back together as four thick black stripes formed on her face. Two one each cheek. Lucy tried to rub them off but they weren't phased. It's like they had been there the whole time. Like a birthmark waiting to appear. Lucy just ignored it as more changes made there way up and her body.
