The two girls laughed it off and stood up.
"So, did you just get here or-" Lucy asked. Laura nodded.
"Yeah. I got lost around the school so I just started wandering around the place till I saw you." Lucy smiled and grabbed Laura's hand.
"C'mon, I'll take you to my class."
Lucy guided Laura around the block towards her class. She pushed open the heavy door and stepped inside, Laura close behind. Everyone stared. A quiet murmur swept around the room.
"Hello! I'm Laura! Lucy's friend from over seas!" Laura explained, cutting off the awquad moment. A couple girls stood up and strutted over. Isabella and Summer. The mean girls, as most would call them. They circled Laura, spotting the thick sketch pad in Laura's open bag.
"What's this?"!Isabella said, snatching the book.
"My sketch pad. If you don't mind, I'd like it back." Laura said. Izzy flicked through the book and nodded. She handed over the book and said,
"How would you like to be friends? You'll be SUPER popular." Laura looked at her.
"I'm happy to be friends, but I'd rather stick with Lucy for now." Laura said, in a passive way. Isabella frowned. She flicked her hair and sat back in her seat. As Summer followed behind, she turned to Lucy.
"Tie your hair up. You look like a dork with your hair that fluffy."
