Chapter 2

Eden's POV

This morning I woke up early for my first class, I am in a journalism class where I know Liam isn't. Before I knew it the cutest guy I had ever seen was sitting next to me 'hi I'm Eden' I said politely 'I'm Emit I guess we will have to be partners' he said as I stared into his dreamy eyes 'yep I guess so , why did you want to be my partner instead of his?' I asked 'because you are gorgeous and he's my friend so I'd probably end up doing all the work.' I thought I could read his mind to find out why but it didn't work all I got was Liam's little voice 'I'm sorry I have to go' I quickly packed up my books and left. As soon as I was outside I couldn't see Liam or any one actually, so where was that voice coming from? I looked everywhere but still no one.

When I had finally given up I met up with Emit again 'hey what happened earlier?' He asked in his dreamy voice 'umm I...I had to meet someone' I said trying to hide my identity. He pulled me out of the crowd and into a cupboard in the hall 'what did you do that for?' I asked leaning against the wall 'I have to talk to you' he said 'about what?' I asked confused again I heard Liam's voice over and over again 'I'm sorry I have to go' I said walking out of the cupboard 'wait' his voice drifted off. Don't cheat on me please or you will regret it, his words repeating in my head. 'Im so confused' I said to Claudia 'why' she asked as we walked to our next class 'every time I read Emits mind I hear Liam instead' I said stopping at an empty classroom door 'that's just messed up call mum and ask her' she said 'now just ignore it and start you assignment with him it will be alright' Claudia continued. Her life was easy she had her vampire boyfriend and stuck to him, she drinks animal blood along with the rest of us besides me, I need human blood to survive that's why I use all these innocent boys.

After night had fallen I went to Emits dorms here I had been wanting to go for the past few hours. 'Hey your cold' I said feeling his shirtless stomach 'I know I've been like that for a few years' he explained 'it's about as cold as yours' he added holding me closer as I lied on him 'I know what you are' he said taking a lighter breath 'you do?' I said. Oh crap he know now I fucked, I thought to myself as he continued 'I know that you like being my partner' he said rolling onto me 'what am I?' I asked hoping he didn't know 'why don't you tell me?' He said teasing me 'why can't you tell me?' I said pushing him away 'because I asked you first' he said teasing me again 'please stop it' I said 'stop what?' He said looking at me confused stop lying to me Liam's voice came back 'I've got to go' I said putting my shirt back on and heading for the door 'no wait' he said getting up and stopping me 'why?' I asked 'because of this' he said as he gave me one last kiss goodbye. I couldn't feel and warmth or feel a beating heart he's one of us I thought 'yes I am' I heard his voice in my head as we let our kiss go 'there you go was it that hard' he said and with that I left.

'So how did it go?' Paige said like always wanting to know 'well he's one of us and we kissed' I said smirking 'you know what that means right?' Abby said in a whisper 'not really sure' I said as they all stared at me 'the new law is that if you kiss someone like us he is now yours and yours forever' Abby explained 'so like marriage' I said 'yes basically' they all replied 'oh shit' I screamed 'what' emit said appearing behind me 'nothing' I said as I stopped to talk to him 'so you wanna come over tonight?' He asked I couldn't reject his offer 'ok I'll be there at nine' I said 'make it eight' he said with a kiss goodbye 'k bye' I said. 'So what are you going to do about this love triangle with Liam, Emit and you?' Claudia asked 'I don't know I'll find out what to do when It gets to that point' I said walking off to my dorm.
