I groan, hearing my alarm clock barring in my ears. I punch the top button, accidentally smashing the button into the clock. Damnit. I'll buy a new one later. I roll, thinking I was in the middle of the bed, but ended up on the floor instead. I huff, puffing out my cheeks. I snuggle in my blankets for one more second before getting up. I had to get ready for school, I have to act normal. It would be weird for a girl who looks like a highschooler to not be in highschool. I mean, I wasn't going to be totally normal. That's not my style. My style is making a good first impression. I wanted to enter the school and all eyes be on me. I pull out a red crossed crop top and a black shirt from my closet. I pull out some black thigh highs too. I use my vampire speed to quickly change, I wanted to be late but I wanted to get some coffee too. I put on some boots and grab a black purse before heading to the door.

I looked in the mirror, I was happy with my outfit. I walked into the bathroom and did some light makeup. Cat eye liner on my green eyes, light pink blush on my pale cheeks, and a nice nude lipstick. I smiled at myself before leaving the house, right on time.
I stopped by a small coffee shop to get me some coffee. It helps with cravings as also it wakes me up. I would be getting to class on time if I left earlier, but I had to get my schedule too. I could seen the halls were still full when I arrived. I smirked before walking in, with my head high. I could feel multiple gazes on me as I strolled past my new peers. I walked to the front desk to my new school. The lady at the desk sees me and smiles.
"Hello! You must be Eve, let me get your schedule, dear." The lady asked. She was a sweet old lady, I liked her already. She prints out my sheets and hands them to me with a kind smile. "Have a good first day!" I nod and smile at her in thanks. When I walked out, the halls were empty again. I looked down at my paper, my first class was in room 347. I looked at the map. It was all the way on the third floor... ugh. I look around for any cameras. Seeing there isn't any, I use my speed to run up the stairs effortlessly. I reach the floor and look for room 347. I look around the corner and it was right there. I could see the class in session so I knocked on the door. I see a figure come and open it, revealing a tall handsome man. His faces turns from confusion to a quick recovery, smiling down at me.
"You must be the new student! I'm Mr. Hansen, please come in." He holds his hand out, I shake it. I walk in and face the rest of the class. "Please do tell us about yourself." He says. I give a light smirk and begin.
"Hi, I'm Eve. I came from Mystic Falls. I'm into music and writing, and one thing you should know is, not to mess with me." I fake a sweet smile and twist on my heel a little.
"Why thank you, Eve. You can take that empty seat next to Ralph." I only saw one empty seat next to a guy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes that were covered with thick glasses. He was kinda cute, I knew I should probably befriend him. The seat was in the back so I had to walk past multiple 'jocks'. I could already feel them staring at my backside and it took everything in me, not to snap. I take the seat next to Ralph. It only took a few seconds after I sat for class to start.
Class was boring. I already knew everything, I've heard it over three hundred times. I dance in my seat when I hear the bell ring. Then I remember about Ralph. I quickly turn to him with a friendly smile. "Hey, if it's not too much trouble, could you help me to my next class?" I ask lightly. His face lights up.
"Sure! I'd love to, can I see your schedule?" I nod and hand it over to him. His small smile gradually gets bigger as he looks down the sheet. "We actually have second period together so it'll be no problem at all. Plus we have lunch, and 5th and 6th period together." He tells me, I smile. We'll be friends in no time.
We talked the whole way to the next class. I learned he was into piano and he had three siblings. When we arrived to class, our teacher wasn't even there yet. We both took a seat in the back and began talking again. It went fine... until he asked about my family. I face immediately dropped, and I looked at my hands, playing with them.
"You dont have to answer if you don't want to!" He says, panicked. I smiled weakly, glancing at him before looking back at my hands.
"They're dead.. they died a long time ago. It's just me now." I say, staying away from eye contact. I could feel his sympathy blowing off him to me. I recover myself and look up, smiling. "But it's okay, I dont think about it much anymore." He gives me a reassured look. The teacher enters, making excuses to why he's late, but class begins as usual.
It was finally the end of the day and I was happy to head home. It gets annoying hearing the same stuff over and over again. I hung out with Ralph every second I could. He was cool and he wasn't a massive dick, I think we're gonna become amazing friends. Something weird happened during lunch though. Seniors get an hour for lunch, we can go out anywhere we want. Ralph and I decided to go to a little cafe that was close by, but the whole time we were there, I felt eyes on me. I couldn't figure out where they were coming from but I knew they weren't friendly.
I walk out of the school, saying by to my new friend and hopping into my car. It wasn't a long ride back to my apartment. I parked out front, got out, and scurried up the stairs. I slam my door behind me and slouch until I reach the couch, falling on it. I sigh happily and exhausted. My eyes began to close slowly, I soon welcomed sleep with open arms.
