Dancing Children

The colored leaves flow in the breeze

As children's noses begin to freeze

Squirrels and mice scavenge the ground

For Fall is coming as earth is browned

Dancing leaves of colors galore

Making their way to the barn door

Once you reach the door so brown

Children are dancing all around

Watch as they all laugh away

Dancing, singing all the way

Come and join us we don't bite

Dance with us at the dead of night

Run, run someone is here

We must hide and disappear

There are footsteps at the door

Hurry now and hug the floor

Wait, look, it's just a girl

Her dress is the color of a pearl

Come on now, let's go say hello

Come from up, behind, and below

It's nice to meet you girl in white

Come, join us, we don't bite

Dance with us till the dawn

For when this ends we will all be gone
