How Prone We Are To Forget

30 2 1

How prone we are

To forget your sacrifice

When you took all sin

And paid the ultimate price

We continue to lie

And cheat and steal

Ignoring the fact

That you are real

To think that you

Would become a child

A king at heart

So meek and so mild

That you, oh Lord

Would bare the pain

Of a lashing whip

While held in chains

That you, oh Father

Would carry the cross

And redeem our souls

We are at a loss

So please, dear Lord

Take my broken soul

Wrap it in white linen

And make it whole
