It's never safe at Hogwarts- Marauders era

Hogwarts express

Victoria wandered towards the wall inbetween platform 9 and 10. Bracing herself for the impact of the wall, she jogged into it.

She fell face first into a busy station. She quickly stood up and luckily for her no one saw. She looked around her and gasped in awe.

There it was, shining in the station lights, the Hogwarts express with its bright red, vibrant paint. She rushed up the the platform and gave the ticket master her ticket. He punched one hole in it showing that it was her first year and he gave it her back because she would need it from now until her last year at Hogwarts.

She stepped onto the train and she knew straight away that she was the first onto it, it was 10 minutes until the train set of and Victoria found a seat in an empty compartment.

After a while, a girl practically fell into the train compartment that Victoria was in. She put her luggage down onto the floor and asked 'Hi, is it okay if I sit here?'
'Yeah, sure. What's your name?'
'Lizzie. What about you' The girl asked.
'I'm Victoria Black.'
'Oh, you're related to Sirius Black?'She looked kind of annoyed.
'Yes, he is my cousin, what has he done?'
'Oh nothing yet, I was just chatting to Remus Lupin because he seems pretty interested in animals and hawks like mine. He was telling me about all his new friends he had made, And apparently Sirius and James potter were the trouble makers and Peter Pettigrew was a bit shy.'

She looked at Victoria and smiled, 'Do you want to see my pet hawk?' And before she could answer she had a hawk resting on her shoulder. 'WOW' Victoria exclaimed in awe. It looked majestic with its goldeny-brown feathers and it's beady eyes staring Victoria down 'Um,' Victoria said nervously 'what's its name?' She asked.

'Chicken.'
'Huh'
'Chicken!'
'What?'
'ITS NAME IS CHICKEN!!!'
'Chicken... ok then,' Victoria looked around awkwardly because she had already annoyed someone and the train had not even started yet. When she looked back at Lizzie she saw that Lizzie was laughing. 'What's so funny?'
'You,'
'Oh right, thanks,' she said sarcastically
'No I mean because you looked like you thought I was annoyed. Don't worry, Chicken gets it all the time!'
Victoria just looked at her with a blank expression on her face. Two girls suddenly came stumbling inside the carriage.

'Oh hey, can we sit here? They asked, about to sit next to Victoria and Lizzie.
'Yeah, that's fine!'
'Ok cool, what are your names?' A girl with ginger wavy hair asked, 'My name is Lily Evans!'She stated.
'I'm Victoria Black,'
'My name is Lizzie Wolverton!'
'I'm Katie Langford!' The other girl who had browny-blonde hair  said smiling.

Slowly the trains started moving gently and steadily as the girls began a conversation.
'So, I'm actually a half blood!,' Lizzie stated 'What about you guys?' She asked the others
'I'm a pure blood,' Victoria sighed
'Cool, I'm muggle born and I only just found out that I was a wizard about a month ago!' Lily mused.
'I'm a half blood to!' Katie interjected.

Their conversation went on for about half an hour until four boys walked in
'Hi Victoria!' One of the boys said, he had chin length black hair and he was smiling at his cousin.
'Oh hey Sirius, what are you doing here?' Victoria questioned
'I just came to tell you to get into your robes, we are nearly there now!'
'Oh thanks!' Victoria replied, and he and his friends walked out the room. 'Oh and...' He turned around 'When your changed meet us in compartment 42, I need to introduce you guys to my friends and you introduce me to yours, see you later!'
Victoria just rolled her eyes and shut the door after him. 'Right, better get changed then!'

Some time later...

'Shall we go to compartment 42 then?' Katie asked. The girls had all changed into their robes and the train was scheduled to stop in around half an hour.

Katie, Lizzie, Victoria and Lilly all got up and wandered down the aisle counting the doors to the compartment and trying to find 42 'FOUND IT!' Lizzie called out.

She pushed open the door and went in, closely followed by the others.

Inside they immediately saw Sirius and his mates, Lizzie already new Lupin so she sat next to him and began to introduce him to her friends and he introduced her to his.

'This is Sirius Black, as you probably all know, I'm Lupin, this is Peter Pettigrew and this is James Potter,' He pointed at each person individually and James just absent mindedly nodded when he said his name, he had is eyes transfixed on Lily.

Lizzie began to introduce the boys to her friends 'This is Victoria Black, Sirius' cousin, this is Katie Langford, This is Lily Evans and I am Lizzie Wolverton'

James still hadn't taken his eyes of Lily but she looked incredibly uncomfortable, he smiled at her 'Hi lily!' He said ignoring everyone else, and gawping at Lily who sighed. Sirius just rolled his eyes laughing, and Lizzie, Katie and Victoria just shared a look and they new they where all thinking the same thing. Peter looked like he'd rather be anywhere but here and Lupin just face-palmed himself.

The train slowly came to a halt next to a lake, the group of 8 stepped out of the train and into a forest. Because Victoria had read Hogwarts: A history many, many times, she new that they were in the forbidden forest and informed the group in on that information.

'Firs' years over 'ere, firs' years!' A  giant man yelled, he was to small to be a giant but to big to be a human, maybe he was half giant Victoria thought.

The group made there way towards the giant man and he smiled down at everyone, 'Well hello there, I'm Hagrid the groundskeeper. Anyway, everyone get into a boat, four people per boat!'

Lilly, Lizzie, Katie and Victoria all got into a boat and they magically set of without being rowed. All the first years had to duck but Hagrid had to practically lie down when they passed under some low willow branches.

Once they had turned a corner they where struck by the beauty of the castle, there where millions of stars in the night sky and it was a perfect full moon, this was all reflecting in the fast flowing river and the countless windows on the castle. Victoria looked around and caught sight of Sirius and his friends.

They all looked really nervous and kept glancing up at the sky and back at Remus Lupin. Peter looked like he was ready to jump out the boat, Sirius and James just looked deep in thought and Remus began twitching a little and he looked positively terrified, after a bit, it was to dark for Victoria to carry on watching so she turned back round in her seat and relaxed watching the sun set, the castle and the steady rocking of the boat while it was dodging the rapids.
