Chapter 20 (Part 1) - Fun

I'M BAAAACCCKKKK!!! A very long hiatus and I'm back again. I have had a lot going on recently and I just needed to walk away from this book to get some things right in life. A lot of ups and downs but things are better. Now that I kinda have gotten things together I decided to come back to this book and drop another chapter for you guys. I hope you all love it. I love you guys so much.

I slowly began to wake up from a deep sleep to someone calling my name. I fluttered my eyes open and heard Sebastian whisper, "Good morning beautiful."

I curled into him more and mumbled, "Good morning."

"How did you sleep?"

"Wonderful."

"That's good."

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and yawned, "What time is it?"

"8:00."

"Why did you wake me so early?"

"I have something for you. I couldn't wait until you woke up."

"What?" He leaned over to his bedside table and picked up a small box wrapped in black paper and a red bow. He handed me the box and smiled, "Happy birthday Ophelia."

I grabbed it from him and quickly opened it, tearing the paper to shreds. I took off the top and inside was a silver locket. The locket was in the shape of a heart. In the middle of it was a blue gem. It looked like aquamarine. I smiled and looked up at Sebastian, "Thank you Sebastian. I love it."

"I knew you'd love it."

"Could you?" I asked handing it to him.

"Of course." He took it as I sat up straight, my back facing him. He brought it around my neck and locked it into place, "There." I turned to look at him and he smiled, "It looks perfect on you."

My cheeks went hot and I giggled, "Thank you."

"You forgot something though."

"What?"

"Open it."

I took the locket in my hands and opened it. Inside there wasn't a picture but an engravement. Yours for eternity. I smiled, "Sebastian I..." I was speechless. "No one has gone out of their way to get me something this special for my birthday. I don't know what to say."

Sebastian leaned in and gently kissed me then said against my lips, "I love you."

"I love you too."

Afternoon came quickly but I saw no sign of Mey-rin, Finny, or Bard. Ciel either. Sebastian has been very quiet since he gave me my gift this morning as well. It was the strangest thing. I was in the kitchen with Sebastian, helping make Ciel's lunch when the bell rang. I looked at Sebastian as he sighed and began walking out of the kitchen without a word. Why is everyone either quiet or distancing themselves? I walked out of the kitchen and saw Sebastian walking back towards the kitchen. He smiled and said, "The young master would like to see you."

I nodded and headed towards the study, quickly. I wanted an explanation as to why Ciel now wants to talk to me. I stopped at the door and wasted no time opening the door. Ciel sat at his desk, writing something down. I closed the door and walked towards his desk. He looked up at me, smiling, and said, "Hello mother."

"Hello Ciel. You wanted to see me."

"Yes. I did." I watched as he reached down and picked something up, "Close you eyes. And no peeking."
