Love and hate. I think that they are both alike, but many people say that they are both different things. They aren't that different. They both take a lot of time. They also are hard. But, the main similarity is, when you feel too much of it, it tears your world apart.

Hope. What a wonderful name. Hope is a very hopeless person. She lives at a foster home and has no family, no life, no hope, but one friend. That one friend is all that she needs. That friend is Ethan. She loves him. He has been there with her as long as she can remember. He was like the brother she wished she could have had. He was the one she learned to ride a bike with. The one that made his parents throw her a surprise birthday party. The one friend that was there when she needed a friend. Hope and Ethan go to Prosper Jr. High, a place of magic, smarts, and to Hope, hate. She is a 7th grader. There are so many people she hates. She puts them in groups in her head: the populars, the outgoing people, the nerds, the jocks, then there is her and Ethan. The outcasts. They are lonely, but lonely together. People are her problem everywhere. At swim practice, everyone has to beat everyone else. At school, the popular people are rude to her, and she doesn't fit in anywhere.

Now, there is a reason she doesn't have parents. They died in a fire years ago. They were the only other people she loved. Her older brother, who is - was 24, died in the military. Every day she goes home to her foster family, eats dinner, does her homework, and goes to sleep. She wakes up, goes to school, and repeats. Everyday, all week, all year, every year.
