How did I think I could keep my distance again? This 'stay away from her' thing is killing me! Now I regret not chasing her till I found her and get her details to the 'T'. I don't even know her name or where she stays, and no way to contact her either! Did I say this, cause I am repeating it again, This is KILLING me! Pacing in my room, I didn't notice Trent coming in. "You know, I'm surprised you haven't worn a hole through the carpet yet. It's quite difficult to concentrate on things when you're distracting people you know."  I turned to face him. The two of us were nothing alike. When I loved landscapes and going out to enjoy the tranquil ambiences of beaches, cliffs, mountains, and my personal favourite, waterfalls, he enjoyed staying home and doing boring stuff like reading books. He's a nerd.

"Dude, just leave me alone." I groaned. I am in no mood to entertain people, and he's not helping. At all.

"Oh? You don't want to know a way to distract yourself from whatever it is bothering you? I am, for once, trying to 'let loose' as you put it, and this is what you do? Reject me from the start? That hurts bro, it does." I can sense the laughter in his voice, and it makes me smile. The reason he is my best friend, despite our totally opposite characters, is due to his carefree nature. We met this way, where i was brooding under a tree in the park. He later said he aproached because he wanted to see people smile, if even for just a moment. I have never laughed as hard as i had that day before. He is that resourceful.

"Trent, not to be mean, but shouldn't you be holed up in the library with another classic or something? Go away, this is so not your normal behaviour, and its creeping me out."

"Lies, I see you smiling over there. Now get your lazy ass up and lets go. Dress casual and to kill, I heard rumors about this new club a town over. We just gotta be cool and dazzle the ladies. Like what you would normally do." He raises his eyebrows at me mockingly, reminding me this isn't my normal routine. Well news flash, my life has turned upside down. I get to have some time-outs. I did, however, seem to perk up at the word club. A club means a slim chance to find her again... right?

"I see you have gotten interested in this conversation. Good, seeing as they also stated about having this awesome DJ around. Seems that attracted a lot of customers, trying to see if she is better than male DJs. The feedbacks are that it rocks. Now don't look at me that way," he said calmly, putting his hands up in surrender, seeing the death glare I shoot at him. "Im only here to deliever an option, whether you take it or not it up to you. I just heard your parents say that you are feeling down and wanted to try and cheer you up. Since you don't share anything with me, I might as well do things your way."

Ugh, he knows me too damn well. I mean, he used to be confused at everything I do, now he just looks at my every move and can read me like a book. That is not a good feeling. I do have to admit the club sounds interesting. Also, there is a chance of her being there. My beloved. I just need to look at her. Yeah, that's it. I can do it, just looking at her. It's probably not her anyways, there are many females wanting to be DJs nowadays. What do I have to lose?

"Fine, ok, let's go. Its probably another of those stereotype clubs anyways." Sighing, I get up and change. There's no chance of her being there, right?

 ~-~-~-~-~-~-~

Hours later, I get my answer. The 'just looking at her' thing is harder to do by the minute. How did this happen? Let's take a trip down memory lane.

"Okay, so let's take a car. Its more convenient. There's probably too many people there anyways, it will be too conspicuous to run inside with our speed." Trent stated. I sigh again, knowing I have no mood to party, let alone think. Trent takes a look at me and just shakes his head pityingly. Yeah, like that is going to help me.

The ride over was quick, yet to me it felt longer than just long. The speed did help though. Trent sadly didn't share the same opinion. "Dude, no need to rush. You could have slowed down, just a little bit perhaps?" I just smiled at him at the time. Going into the club is easy. When your family is influential in the vampire side of the world, and the bouncer is a fellow vampire, one gets access easily.

The club this time though, i have to admit has class. The owner has tastes when he was creating this place. With either the midnight or royal blues all around, and smudges of bright or dull colors occasionally, it potrays a casual hangout spot. The bar has a wide variety of drinks, both alcoholic nad non-alcoholic.  There are also booths all around the sides, and a second floor to accomodate special occasions. I have to say, whoever it is has included the possibility of everything here. It is literally a small piece of heaven on earth.

Going to the bar to get a few shot to calm my nerves, I catch the scent of blueberries in the air. I pass it off as having something in the drinks with blueberries, but it gnaws on my senses. I am almost close to going crazy with frustration at myself, until it occurs to me that she may just be here. Looking over to the stage, I catch my breath at the sight, but at the same time, feeling my blood boil.
