It was official.
I was pregnant.
2 months to be exact.
I had noticed a slight weight gain, but I didn't think it would be anything as serious as this.
I still refused to tell the police who did this to me, it would only make things worse.
Nothing serious had been damaged, I was going to be in a wheelchair for a week though...
Which was shitty to say the least.
Andy had informed my mom of the recent events and she wasn't happy in the slightest.
Not at Andy, but at the school for not preventing it.
Once Andy had dropped me off home earlier that day, mom gave me the biggest and most painful hug.
Ouch.
"I've been so worried about you!" She cried into my shoulder.
I'll hand it to her, mom has her moments where I like her...
"I'm alright mom. I'd be better if you'd stop hugging me. It hurts." I winced.
"Sorry Chicken." She blushed, standing up properly and leading me through to the living area.
She explained what the doctor had told her, including the rape... And the pregnancy...
She took it out on me, kept blaming me.
Then appologised... Repeatedly.
"Mom I wanna see Andy and Juliet more." I told her after a while's silence.
She looked up at me.
"How often are we talking?" She asked, raising her eyebrow.
"Every other day. Everyday. I just need to see them. Juliet wants to help out with the baby, Andy's willing to help with anything I nee-"
"Oh I see what this is." Mom chuckled in disbelief. I looked at her, confused. "They're the surrogates! They are your surrogate parents!"
"What? No!" I gasped. "They're my friends! They want to help!"
"They are not your friends Georgia. They're twice your age!" She shouted.
I looked at her with that 'are you fucking kidding me?' Look.
"No they're not. Andy's 6 and a half years older than me and Juliet's like... 12 years older... Ish."
"They're your surrogate parents. Whenever we have an argument, you go to them. When I kicked Andy out, you went too. After school, you go there, when you have a problem, you go to them, when you were fucking attacked, you called him first. I rest. My fucking. Case." She said sternly.
I looked down.
She was right...
But they were my friends more.
I trusted them more.
"Maybe you're right." I replied, not making eye contact.
I looked at her right after I said that though.
"Goodbye mother."
I wheeled myself out of the house and down the street before I called Juliet, asking her to come and get me.
"I'll be there in ten." She said and hung up.
True enough, there she was, ten minutes later.
She got me in and loaded up my wheelchair before going back to the house.
There we had it... Mother had ruined everything yet again...
