Chapter 2 》 Perfect misery
It was another gloomy day where I wonder where my room mate stays while I have the whole unit for myself. He was out of my concern but it made me wonder. Does he stay with his girlfriend Rose?
I shook my head and sat up to open my laptop. I made myself busy typing a manuscript that I've been writing since last year. Writing stories became my passion ever since 5th grade. I started writing from online websites until I decided to transfer it to my blog and soon put it on to work like manuscripts. I gain few online friends who happened to be fan of my stories while making some stories that were squeezed out of my crazy illusions and imaginations.
My greatest goal in life was to see my books lined up at the shelves of a book store and to see myself signing books of mine that was bought by my readers and fans.
I sighed dreamily.
I indulged myself with the time that I didn't notice the time. I just received a text from Lyza telling me to meet them at a restaurant outside the school. It was Friday and students were allowed to went out of the campus after class hours. I just replied that I'll be on my way soon.
I decided to wear one of my favorite Beatles shirt that was tucked in to my ripped jeans that was paired with a Gucci belt and Gucci shoes that I always love to wear. I put my hair into a messy bun before wearing my specs and grabbing my purse before going out of the Unit.
It was awkward to notice the glance of the other students who I passed by. Of course I was always the invisible type of class and nobody notices me because I always prefer to stay quiet and simply dressed. But maybe I went to much on my clothes for tonight's dinner with the gang.
When Rose and Lyza saw me, there were different sparkles around their eyes like they saw a model while Jeremy and Marion remained timid and silent. It was only Thaddeus who greeted me. He pulled a chair for me and made me sit beside Jeremy.
"I didn't knew you wear such things." Lyza smiled at me as she passes the menu to me.
"I just prefer wearing simple dresses during class days." I smiled and closed the menu. "I'll have some spaghetti meatballs."
"Roxette is totally my newest fashion icon!" Rose chuckled.
"You should dress like that often." Jeremy smiled. "It made you look prettier than you are already."
I felt butterflies on my stomach. I did my best not to surpass a smile.
The foods came and everyone was busy about the event that would happen tomorrow night at the Campus field. I was just looking at them talking about how excited they were. These five have been friends since childhood by living in the same subdivision. They all entered Voughzine University all together during their high school.
All in all, I was the outcast of the gang. I couldn't relate myself to them whenever they were talking about memories they shared where in I was still not present in their lives. But nevertheless I still find it comfortable being around them. It soothes my heart whenever I hear them laugh and there will always be something that touches my heart whenever Marion smiles.
