Kageyama Tobio x Reader Boyfriend Problems

The First Date

It was a nice day. The weather was fair, no homework or volleyball practice, and you had plenty of free time.

You lay in bed wanting to get out of the house and do something. You looked at your phone and wondered who you could get together with. You skimmed through your contacts looking for a candidate. Just then you saw Kageyama's name. You sent him a text.

To: Kags

From: (Y/N)

Hey, Kageyama. Just wondering if you're free right now. It's a nice day and I wanted to go out and do something.

You hit the send button and gave him a few minutes to respond. Meanwhile, you thought about what you could do. Just then it dawned on you, this could be considered a date. You shot up from your bed.

Wait, you thought, this would be our first date. Just then you phone buzzed. You quickly looked over the message.

To: (Y/N)

From: Kags

Yes! I'll be over in 20 minutes.

You jumped out of your bed tripping on your sheets falling to the floor in the most graceful manner, on your face.

"Oh no," you whined rising from the floor. "What did I do, I didn't think this through."

You quickly got ready. You put on your favorite casual outfit, did a little fix-me-up, and waited for Kageyama anxiously. You went to your living room and sat there trying to relax. Just then Daichi walked in.

"Hey, (Y/N), you look nice are you going out," he asked.

"Oh, um, yeah," you say with a nervous smile. "Kageyama and I are going out."

You then panicked at your words. "Well not "go out" like a date, I guess, more like going out and do something, like in a friendly couple manner. If that makes sense." You then saw Daichi look at you slightly concerned. Your words made no sense what so ever.

"Right," said Daichi grinning at your nervousness. "I think that is considered a date."

You covered your face in embarrassment. "What am I supposed to do. I know me and Kageyama are together but it's still hard for me to be that way towards him. I still see things awkward sometimes." You slumped on the couch. "I sometimes wish we were still friends."

Daichi smiled understandingly at you. "It's okay to feel nervous. But I don't think you need to make such a big deal about it. Just act like you normally act around him. He's still your friend, just in the "I'm dating my friend" sense, I guess," advised Daichi.

You pondered upon his words. He was right. Ever since you and Kageyama started dating you have still treated him like a friend. Even though you guys have done some intimate things such as kissing or hugging you two still treated each other like you normally did.

You took a deep sigh. "Okay, I'll act normal," you felt yourself relax and get pumped up for this date. Just then you heard the someone knock at the door. You panicked again. "Oh, he's here, he's here, Daichi help."

Daichi sighed. Guess it can't be helped, he thought. He went and greeted Kageyama.

Kageyama walked in and saw you sitting on the couch. "Ready to go," he asked. You looked at him and saw that he looked a bit flushed and nervous. I wonder if he's panicking about the same thing.

"Yeah," you say getting up. You both headed out the door. "I'll see you later Daichi."

"See you later," said Daichi walking you two out the door. "Bring her back before dark," he told Kageyama.

"Yes, captain."

Soon you two were out the door. You looked over at Kageyama who looked nervous. His fingers were fidgeting slightly.

"So," you asked. "What should we do."

Kageyama cleared his throat a bit. "Well, do you have any plans."

You tilted your head towards the sky. "No not really, I just called you out of whim," you smiled embarrassedly.

"Oh, well," said Kageyama nervously. "If you want we can head to the park, I have my volleyball with me." He beckoned towards his bag. 

At the mention of volleyball, you immediately perked up. "Really that sounds great after that maybe we can get an ice cream or something."

So, you went to the park and started tossing the ball around in an empty area. As you two played you gave each other advice on techniques and started arguing over who had the best and worst skills. After playing and arguing for some time you landed your butt on the grass.

"Aren't I tired," you sighed deeply.

"Really, I could go for a while more," said Kageyama sitting in next to you.

"Really," you said mildly surprised. "Well, I shouldn't expect less from a volleyball idiot." You lay back on the grass, stretched out, and relaxed.

"You're a volleyball idiot too ya know," said Kageyama starring down at you with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, yeah, I know," you said closing your eyes and waving his comment away.

Kageyama looked at you and pursed his lips together thoughtfully. "Can I lay my head on your stomach," he asked a deep blush coming across his cheeks.

You opened your eyes and looked at him surprised. "Um, sure," you said trying to sound cool with it. Kageyama laid down on your stomach. You stiffened as you felt the warmth and pressure of his head. After a while, you relaxed a bit. You soon felt a strong urge to touch his head, more specifically his nice black hair. You bit your lip nervously. You slowly inched your hand towards his hair. You then touched a few strands just to test the waters. You felt him stiffen up but soon relaxed into your touch. He nuzzled in slightly into your hand and stomach. Soon you began to run your hand through his hair. Kageyama relaxed himself to your touch. There the both of you lay enjoying each other's company in silence. Soon the peace was interrupted by a growl. Kageyama listens carefully to where the sound was coming from. He tilted his ear towards your stomach.

"Are you hungry," he asked.

You blushed. "No," soon a louder growl was heard that even you could hear it was coming from your stomach. "Maybe."

Kageyama sat up next to you. "Come on dumbass let's get something to eat." As he got up he closed in on your lips and gave you a small peck. He then proceeded to pack up as you laid there processing what just happened. You sat down and a small smile slipped on your face.

"Who are you calling a dumbass, dumbass?"
