World Upside Down

Violet stood still as she looked at Zach proposing his latest crush. She wanted to stop him. She wanted to cry but somehow she managed to hold her tears. Zach now encircled his new girlfriend's waist and lifted her up as the whole class cheered for him. She couldn't take it anymore as she left the classroom. She walked down the hallways with her head bowed down. Her tears were at the edge of falling as she finally entered the washroom. Sitting on her knees her head in her hands, she sobbed and sobbed till she heard the sound of the bell. The period was over, but she couldn't manage with classes right now. So she decided to visit her favorite place. She got up from the floor and started washing her face before the other girls entered in. She don't want them to feel pity for her. When the girls entered in, she was already done with washing her face . She took out her red liquid lip color which she always had in her  pocket in case she forget her makeup kit. She applied one coat of her lip color and after that she wiped her forehead and under eye area. She looked at herself in the mirror. "You need to be strong Violet" she said to herself and with that she left the place . 

Walking down the grassy path felt so good. It eased her pain her ache which she holds in. The pain of her breaking heart. Aside the grassy path there was a beautiful river . Its water crystal clear. She discovered this place when as a child she lost the path to the park she used to go. Since then she visited this place whenever she felt alone, sad or hurt. And its become like a best friend. She can't imagine her life without visiting this place. She sat on the grassy edge with her legs in the river water. As she started recalling the old memories. She remembered how she proposed Zach on valentine's Day. She remembered a few good moments that they spend. She remembered crying her eyes out whenever she would come to know that Zach was cheating on her with other girls and finally one month ago he broke up with her saying that he was no longer interested in her. And today he got the girl he was chasing for one month. A tear slipped down her face as she wiped it off with the back of her hand. She was busy in her thoughts when someone spoke. 

" Hello young lady " she heard someone say . She looked at the person who was speaking.  It was a guy whose face was covered with the black cap of his hoodie. He looked quite mysterious and his voice had that unique aura that she never felt before. It surprised her because as far as she knew, no one visits this place . " Hello, Mr. Is there anything I can Help you with?" she replied while looking at the guy's face but she couldn't. " Yes, there is one thing you can help me with. Can you please tell me the way to the Town of the Sinners?" the guy replied . Wait what did he just say The Town of the Sinners? The most that she knew about the ghastly town was that it was an abandoned place . The reason the people of the town abandoned it was a legend. And legend said " Four hundred years ago, the town was ruled by Vampires and Demons, but both the races hated each other, as the Vampires wanted to spread their race in the whole town, but Demons wanted to spread their race in the whole town as well. Many battles took place between them, but every time no one would win and there would be massive destruction for no reason. At this point, the King Of Demons, Arec, decided to sign a peace treaty with the Vampire clan. As soon as the proposal was sent to the King of Vampires, Van, he accepted the proposal as according to him it would be a wise decision. A meeting was called upon and it was decided that Arec's son, Zacharia would marry Van's young daughter, Reffl. According to the decision, Reffl and Zacharia were married. They both lived together in the big royal mansion which demons inherited from the generations. Time passed and everything was at peace now, except one thing. With the passage of time, Zacharia started developing a liking for his wife Reffl. He was ready to do anything to make her realize his true love for her, but Reffl never accepted him as her husband. 

        Time passed and once again the town was surrounded by darkness as a new race emerged that were referred to as Werewolves. They attacked both the races and the kingdom once again was destructed. Finally a battle took place between Vampires, Demons, & Werewolves.  The battle was won by Demons, but during the battle Zacharia died and the last thing he had on his mind during his last breaths was his beautiful wife Reffl. He promised that on their 500th anniversary he'll rise again and he will get her, no matter what and with that he died. Since then the town is abandoned by the people of the town. 

        The stranger coughed in an attempt to get her attention and that was when she was brought out to reality  . " Uhhh yeah at the end of the river there is a bridge, after crossing the bridge go straight into the forest. After the forest, you'll see the Town of the Sinners."  " Thank you very much young lady " the guy replied as he left the spot, leaving a curious Violet behind. She took out her legs from the water, placed her flats on her feet, and patted her clothes to remove the dust as she decided to go after the stranger.  She knew it was stupid of her to do so, but if she does not find out what he's doing, she will gain this creepy feeling of dissatisfaction settle in the pit of her stomach.  She followed the guy, hiding in the bushes from time to time so that the guy won't notice her following him. When the guy finally reached the river end, he started crossing the bridge with ease. She looked at him with amazement as it was strange how well he maintained his balance when the bridge was old and broken. She saw as the guy disappeared in to the forest, finally getting he chance to cross the old, worn bridge. She stepped on the slightly cracked wooden surface and the bridge immediately began to rock back and forth. Seeing that she was about to fall, she held onto the old rope supports to maintain her balance, oddly managing to cross the bridge. But by the time she crossed the bridge, the stranger was gone far away from her reach . But she couldn't go back now. She came here and after coming at this point, going back empty hand was not fair on her part. So she decided to go the path to which the stranger chose to. 

        She went into the deep forest and just when she was about to step forward she felt something hard. She bent down to see and as soon as she did she screamed.  It was a human skull staring right back at her. In fact, there were many scattered here and there. She heard a sound coming from nearby and decided she couldn't stay here anymore as she ran out of the forest as fast as she could....
