The Demon's Bride

Strange! !¡¡

Violet looked at her reflection her complexion which was as white as a ghost and her eyes had dark circles under them. That day she ran out of the forest without looking back. After that incident she was on leave from college for one week and for that one week she was coddled up in her room. Since then she never visited her favorite place again as well. Some can say that she was overreacting, but for a simple girl like her it was scary. It might be some wild animals in the forest who ate human beings and nobody came to knew about it, but it still scared the hell out of her. Today after spending one week in her room, she finally gained some courage to go out . She applied a coat of mascara and eyeliner and afterwards applied her Matt Dark pink lip color. She looked at herself one more time as she stood up from the sitter and patted her Dress to get rid of the slight wrinkles. She took her bag and left her home .

Usually there would be chirping of birds, bright sunshine, and people setting their shops, but today it was all so still and dark, which gave her goosebumps. For some reason she can feel a creepy feeling that something is wrong. She couldn't get rid of it no matter how much she tried. She started her car and drove off to college, eyeing the streets around her. All was still and there hardly were people there. She wonder what the hell was going on. She was about to take the u turn when suddenly a black veiled figure appeared in front of her making her stop the car and then suddenly the thing disappeared.The sudden interruption made the car to stop with full force, making her head to hit the steering wheel. She lifted her head up from it, her hands trembling. What the hell in this world was that? Was someone playing a prank? She wanted to cry so much...she wanted to hide somewhere but she knew it wasn't a good option as her parents were out of station. If they came to knew that she was missing her lectures, then god knows what they would do . She touched her forehead and saw blood on her fingers. With her hand trembling madly, she took out the small first aid kit from her car's shelf . Taking out a cotton ball and wetting it with disinfectant, she cleaned her wound and unwillingly drove off to her destiny .

She finally was here. She closed the door of her car and locked it. The college parking lot was half empty which was strange as it was already 8:45 am and usually by this time the it would be like a 5 star hotel's busy kitchen. It was really getting her nervous now . What the world is going on here? She made her way inside the college walking down the half empty hallways. As she went to her locker to take out her books, she overheard a girl say to the other " You know what? It's their 500th anniversary today, people are afraid that Zacharia will rise again. That's why people are staying in homes today." So this was the cause behind the randomly empty places. Violet sighed. Being a small town, people have their own religious beliefs here . But how can someone rise again? Thinking of all this made her remember the stranger who asked her about The Town of the Sinners that day. She wondered why he want to go there. It was then she heard the bell, indicating that the class has started .

​​​​​​College was over now and Violet was happy that she can finally go back home. She made her way outside the big glass doors walking off the college campus. The weather was still dull but soothing at the same time. Violet loved this kind of weather. She would've enjoyed it had the town wasn't in its current condition. God knows why things have gone this way with her. She was about to step forward when suddenly someone latched onto her wrist. She froze for a moment and as she saw the person she was shocked . " Zach?" she said in surprise. " Why were you absent from one week and what happened to your forehead?" he asked as he looked in her eyes. Why? Why'd he have to do this to her? First he broke up with her and now he was behaving like he was the only one who cares for her in this whole world. He always does that, go to other girls, and when Violet gives up, he comes back. He almost fooled her every other time but not now. " Why do you even care?" she said while looking back. " You don't have any answer right. Talk to me when you have one. Plus talking to your ex is rude to your love relationship. " she said further while taking his hand off of her wrist . As she left the place without looking back as she knew if she did, she would've broke down crying.

She was driving her way to home when she was on the way to her favourite place . After what happened was it safe to go there. She stopped her car and made her way into the bushes. It felt like someone was dragging her there . After crossing the bushy area . It was there . The river water still crystal clear but one thing was strange. All the grass and plants were dull and dark in color . Which was strange since its only September and they were dead like winters . She knelt down and touched a small flower plant gently . And thats when darkness took over her again. She felt a creepy dark feeling inside her . But this time she was more careful . She gently let go the plant from her hand and stood up and hurried to her car .

Unaware of the the pair of red eyes watching her from behind the trees....
