78 years... 78 years I have been stuck in my 18 year old body. I was born in 1916 Italy, Rome.

I remember me, my older brother Luigi, mother Maria and my father Christopher.

We lived in a average sized house, quite small but big enough for us all to have our own space.

As far as money could go, my mother worked as a maid for the mayor's wife, Cecilia.

Cecilia was a beautiful and kind women. Weirdly she had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

What triggered us all was that she was born and raised in Italy. Being a young girl at the time, I was used to long black hair, tanned skin and brown eyes.

Thinking back on it know, I realized how stereotypical the old days were. Although Cecilia was different from us, we didnt treat her any different.

My father worked as a shoe maker in his own little wooden hut down in the towns centre.

My brother Luigi worked as an assistant by getting his lunch, fetching materials and etc.

Normally on a weekend I would be escorted to the mayor's house and help out my mother.

It was always good fun and I always refused to accept money off Cecilia. Sometimes I would have to look after their daughter, Lucinda.

The little girl was only 5 but was adorable. She had dirty blonde hair thanks to her mother and brown eyes from who she inherited from her father.

She would always make me sit on the floor and play with her dolls. She then liked to go and sit in the garden playing on the swing.

One of her all time favourites was sitting in the meadow in a near by forest, making daisy chains.

I would teach her, then braid her long hair adding pretty little red roses. What I loved about this little girl was that she never had a frown on her face, always a smile.

I always promised that I would protect her and be her best friend forever. She would smile widely at that and tackle me into a hug.

That day I came in after helping mother go the market and get a few supplies to make babalouche.( snails in Italian, btw I don't have a clue how to spell it!:/)

" Isabella Bella, vieni qui." I heard my father's voice sound from in his small office.

" Cí papa." I said sitting in a chair across from him. Not before kissing his cheek in respect.

" La mia Bella figile." he said smiling down at me.

" Im afraid that we have to make your Nonno happy." he said, I looked at him confused.

" A couple of year ago before you were ever thought of, Nonno made a deal his best friend. That whoever his granddaughter is he will to marry his grandson." he said sadly.
