Now I don't mean to offend anyone by any of this. But these things get on my nerves. But I'm not annoyed at person themselves, I'm annoyed at this aspect of their work. Whether it be an animation, thing on Episode, a fanfiction, etc. So let's start:
-Calling the high school Yandere Highschool. *sigh* Why? Why would you think that's the name? It's Akademi(the k may have been a c I don't remember) High/Highschool. It's fine if you don't know the name. But could you at least not make that sound so serious, like you actually full well believe, with all your mind, that it's called that. To be honest, before I played it and started following the development, I called it Yandere's high school, or, the school where YanChan goes. It's like I knew that the name wasn't Yandere Highschool, but I also had no idea what it actually was. But I mean it's probably just a personal thing. Like three minutes into the Death Note Netflix adaptation I just couldn't; it was too different from the original, it even changed Light's last name. So maybe it's because I grew attached to the original name that I can't understand why people would use something totally off and different.
-Calling characters by their hair colors. Siiiigh. THIS is by biggest one on this list for sure. It's like I'm fine with nicknames for the characters. But when you call Saki "the blue haired girl". There are TWO OTHER FEMALE CHARACTERS WITH BLUE HAIR. MEI AND KUU. No, scratch that, FIVE at least. Kokoma and Supana and even Oka have blue hair. It's more of a raven, dark blue, but it's blue. Calling Kokona "the purple haired girl". What about Sakyu? Huh? How would you refer to HER then? Also Kizana, but she's less released than Osana. And calling Osana(who I'm super excited for and she's predicted to be done soon!!!) "the orange haired girl." Isn't Shima also orange haired? Well it's a darker orange, but heck, it's still orange.
-Calling Kokona a rival. Come on, seriously you guys, if your thing was earlier it's understandable. But HOW LONG has YandereDev been saying that she's just a place holder? HOW LONG has the rival introduction been out? Anything since at least 11 months ago should know that Kokona isn't a rival if you actually follow the development of the game, whether checking the YouTube development thing or the blog. Sure she has a crush on Senpai, but that's not gonna be permanent.
Ok so these are my three main pet peeves of the ill-informed fans. And if you are one of the ones that do one of these, please just... just stop. Like I mean the first one's ok. It doesn't really annoy me that much. It makes me facepalm and all but still. The third one, however, is common knowledge, and will make me question you. The second one.. if you do it.. it's tImE tO sToP. This'll hurt your view of the game more than ANYTHING. I mean it's fine if you don't know EVERY CHARACTERS name(I don't know like three of the Rainbow Sixes first names or the majority of characters last names), but for gosh sake, don't call them by their HAIR COLOR. It's fine if you call Saki something like "Kokona's(or a nickname for her) best friend" or "the light blue haired one in the courtyard". If you absolutely MUST state their hair color, be specific.
