"Bye Skylar! I had so much fun last night I hope we can do it again soon!" Bre says to Skylar as she walks out the front door with her dad.
"Yeah me too. Well see you later." Skylar replies. Bre smiles and waves goodbye. She throws her suitcase into the back of her dad's ram pickup and hope into the passenger side. Her dad looks at her and asks how the party was.
"Fine." Bre replies turning on the radio and looking out the window. This happened to her every time something great ends. She always get depressed and wish time would stand still. But that wouldn't be realistic. Before long Bre is unpacking and putting up her clothes. She grabs her iPod and plugs in the earbuds. She checks her messages but doesn't reply because she doesn't want to talk to anybody at the moment. She choses a Blink 182 song and throws herself onto her bed.
"What are you doing?" Cathy says putting down her leap pad. Bre sighs wishing for the millionth time that she didn't share a room.
"What does it look like? I'm listening to music. " Bre says rolling her eyes. Cathy, putting her hands on her hips, looks Bre up and down.
"Well mom wants you right now." She says then turns away and walks over to her bed talking to herself.
'Great' Bre thinks as she puts up her iPod and walks out the door. After looking everywhere in her house she finally finds her mom upstairs scrapbooking.
"You wanted to see me?" Bre states flatly.
"Yes. You've been at your friends house for two days and you have been doing nothing to help around the house so I want to go and finish all your chores from this week." Bre inwardly sighs. Once again her mom seems to forget that she spent the entire day before she left cleaning. Bre turns around and walks down the stairs to the laundry room were her chore list was tapped to the ironing board. She glanced at it and winced. She had a butt load to do.
Monday: Clean girls bathroom and vacuum your room
Tuesday: deep clean mom's room and bathroom. Sweep front porch.
Wednesday: clean guest bathroom vacuum living room.
Thursday: windex all windows and mirrors
Friday: vacuum back porch and deep clean the kitchen.
Today was Saturday and Bre was hoping to get some reading done. Of corse not though. Her mom would make her do all of this today. Bre walked back to her room and grabbed her iPod putting on Sleep With Sirens and started to the pantry to get the vacuum, mop, and broom. As she started on Mondays chores her brother, Peter, walked in. Bre glanced up and continued to clean. But Peter was still there. She took out her earbuds to tell him to leave and realized that he was farting in her face. She yelled at him to stop because the smell was terrible but of corse he wouldn't.
"GET OUT!" Bre screamed shoving him out the door. Finally he left and Bre looked down at the newly mopped floors. He had tracked mud in and ruined them. She would have to re mop the entire bathroom. Bre groaned and got back to work. Yet another Saturday filled with chores.
